DJ Emir has been holding down the Mixtape circuit since 1992, back when mixtapes litterally meant Mixtapes. Originally from New York City he now resides in Denver Colorado where he DJ's for The Next Level TV Show and various Hip Hop and Reggae Music Nightclubs in The Denver Metro Area.
Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico This Puerto Rican DJ first moved to New York City at the tender age of 3. He Studied art at Laguardia HS of Music and Art in New York and graduated with awards in Ceramics and Art.
He started Dee Jaying in New York in 1992 as an Emcee and DJ for a rap group consisting of Influential Rapper Khalid Best (the brother of Actor Ahmed Best aka Jar Jar Binks of the Star Wars Movies) and himself. Noting the group was going to need a DJ he took it upon himself to learn the DJ Trade. He immediately started making both Hip Hop and House music Mixtapes which allowed him to improve at a faster rate.
A few years later Emir moved to Denver Colorado to study Industrial Design at The Colorado Institute of Art. During This time DJ Emir became a strong influence in Denver's Nightclub scene playing to over 1600 people every Thursday Night inside Club America at The Tivoli. As well as other clubs like Larimer 21, X-calibers, Skyline Bar, and many other Large venues, Events and nightclubs in LODO and the Denver Metro Areas.
Official DJ For The Stress Crew Hip Hop Group
One Day Enzina of Models with Karisma introduced DJ Emir to Joloni Williams and Omar a Hip Hop Music group known as The Stress Crew. They were in need of a Good Hip Hop DJ so she recommended DJ Emir.
DJ Emir scared the Rap Music Duo by bringing out a little Boom Box when they first came over to practice for their future show saying "alright yall ready to do this? (pause) Just kidding equipment's back here" LOL
Hip Hop Jam Mega Concert Events
After Their First Hip Hop Show DJ Emir Joined the Group and became the Stress Crew's Official DJ. He helped them to improve their marketing and promotion talents and together they were able to hold 3 super Hot Concert Events Hip Hop Jam, Hip Hop Jam 2 and Hip Hop Jam 3. Each event featured Break Dance Contests with Denvers Biggest Break Crews attending, DJ Battles and Emcee Battles with over 30 MCs pre screened over the phone so the people could here some good disses and Rhymes, and two to three 20 Minute-30 Minute acts including a featured performance by The Stress Crew. The Events were all a huge success. Each event bringing in Over 1200 People. These events also helped expose thousands to DJ Emir's music and his Hip Hop mixtapes.
Traveled For a Year
Touring and travel had Emir spinning for Nightclubs in Texas, New York, Atlanta, Florida, Puerto Rico and Seattle. While this was good, adding exposure and variety to his portfolio and allowing him to expose many new Hip Hop heads to his mixtapes it damaged his influence in the Denver Nightclub scene. An influence he'd have to re build 2 years later.
Pleazure Entertainment
Roger CEO of Pleazure Entertainment consistently used DJ Emir and DJ Jam X for Many of Pleazure Entertainment's Nightclub events including some of Denver's hottest Major Artist Concerts and After Parties. This along with his own Promotional night at Club Silverado lead to becoming noticed By Candice Picasso and Her Husband/ Co Producer Duece of The Next Level TV Show Denver Colorado.
The Next Level TV Show
Candice and Duece invited DJ Emir to become a Guest DJ on the next Level TV show and re-invited him back a few times before asking Emir to become a resident DJ and Co Host.

Having made Mixtape Cassettes for Years DJ Emir was desperately seeking information on how to start making Mixtape CDs. Once he finally figured the best path to create these Mixtape CDs he set forth on the mission to create the highest quality Mixtape CDs possible. He started www.DJemir.com and learned how to create websites and website templates from scratch in order to maintain more control over his websites success.
