....Modcom.. is a new project from Ronan Harris that will make its debut at this years Wave Gothic Treffen in Leipzig. The music from this one-man project uses analog modular synthesizers and analog sequencers for live sound generation. Sequences and sounds are patched, manipulated, effected, re-patched and mixed live. This kind of performance was common to 70s synth pioneers who used walls of synths and cables to make sound but now its use will be for 21st century electronic beats, rhythms and soundscapes....... ..Modcom.. heißt das neue Projekt von Ronan Harris, das beim diesjährigen Wave Gothik Treffens sein Debüt feiern wird. Die Musik des Einmann-Projekts basiert auf den Live-Einsatz von analogen modularen Synthesizern und analogen Sequenzern. Sounds und Sequenzen werden live generiert, modifiziert, manipuliert und gemischt. Diese Art der Performance war für die Synth Pioniere der siebziger Jahre üblich. Sie setzten ganze Berge aus Synthesizern und Kabeln ein, um ihren Sound live zu kreieren. Ronan Harris wird mit Modcom auf seine Weise die Umsetzung der 70er Jahre auf das 21.
