    Formed in 1979 Modern English is ROBBIE GREY, MICK CONROY, STEPHEN WALKER, RICHARD BROWN & GARY McDOWELL......................... Other contributing musicians over the years have included Aaron Davidson worked on "Pillow Lips" in 1990 with Robbie and Mick. Matthew Shipley & Ted Mason on 1996 release "everything is mad" the only album to date featuring just one original member in Robbie Grey. Steven Walker played guitar on numerous US tours culminating in the forthcoming new Modern English release "soundtrack". Live duties have also been undertaken over the years by Nick Denton, Ian Robbins, Nick Williams (bass), Eric Stock, Brian Fincham & Jon Solomon (drums) to name but a few..!

    I'm so glad to see you guys here. I've always loved you and you were the reason i entered my very first pub when i was 15 years old. I had to use my older brothers ID but it worked and i was so excited. I wasn't concerned with drinking that night...but i did. ;-) I was more intent on seeing you and it was well worth all of the trouble. The show was here in Virginia Beach at a club called Rogues in 1984 or 85. It was such an incredible night and i will never forget it. I even still have the ticket stub. Anyway, i'm looking forward to all you have to offer this time around.
