Sounds like opaque, cold, bleak and depressive, black metal. The lilting beats and soft, arcane touches combined with the harshness of black metal is amazing.

I've always meant to come by your profile and tell you how fucking amazing the music you create truly is. I was one of the ones lucky enough to get my hands on a Black Book version of Fier Hérétique, and I cannot get enough of it, or the demo. I only wish I could find one of those, as your demo is also an immortal fucking piece of art. I hear a lot of so-called black metal, and it bothers the fuck out of me. I'm tired of seeing so many weak, no-talent/vision 'bands' that are coming from everywhere these days it seems...then I hear something like Monarque, and remember why I love Black Metal so much. Keep on doing what you do best, and thanks for the inspiration.
