My influences growing up were Whitney Houston, Shirley Ceasar and other famous singers. But the people that I gained the most knowledge from were the choir members, choir directors and musicians I have sang with through the years.
I love to sing...I live in Selma,AL.....and I'm just trying to live a life that is acceptable in His sight....I stumble and I fall but I will not give up...I have a good life but I struggle with things as we all do....I have given of myself to people, I've been hurt, I've been bruised but I'm not broken!! As I embark upon a gospel career the scriptures below are what I aspire to uphold...to be elevated not by man but by God...
Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
