The voice is not only indicative of man's character, but it is the expression of his spirit. The voice is not only audible, but also visible to those who can see it. The voice makes impressions on the ethereal sphere, impressions which can be called audible; at the same time they are visible. Those scientists who have made experiments with sound and who have taken impressions of the sound on certain plates - which impressions appear like forms - will find one day that the impression of the voice is more living, more deep, and has a greater effect. Sound can be louder than the voice, but sound cannot be more living than the voice.

..grew up surrounded by Buddhist monks, Gnawas musicians and oriental sacred texts that gave him the sense of ritual and trance in music.
..developed since 1993 a transversal sonic poetry praxis focused on experimental voice processings and immersive concerts-installations. The noise and video events are devised and set in context as panic-poetic spaces in which social/sensorial disturbance and blurring occur, through some extreme crescendos going from silence to wall of sound.

M.U.S.H. is a long term research project developed w/ Eleonore Hellio at the V2_Lab, presented during the DEAF festival in Rotterdam in 2004, a videosonic telepresence experiment between two spaces, including extreme noise interaction with wireless accelerometers sensors, neural network and real time processing.

SAFE DISTANCE REVISITED
live sound-video performance _ 31 mn. 2004-2007
Safe Distance Revisited video is based on a video recorded and found in 1999 during the NATO intervention against Yugoslavia, and was post-produced by kuda.org (subtitles and edition).
The sound was later transformed by Joachim Montessuis to create this drama-noise video.
It was recorded on board of one of the fighter planes, and shows the last moments before the plane crashed. The pilot’s display is the only connection he has with the outside world; he is isolated from the reality he produces on the ground below. Every object is part of this virtual display which the pilot is completely dependent upon.
