I am a monophonic analog synthesizer produced between 1981 and 1983 by the original Moog Music. I feature a 32-note keyboard and two VCOs. VCO number 2 is tunable between a half-step below to an octave above VCO number 1. This allows me to play atonal sounds like the Moog Prodigy. My design of the hardwired patch system was well thought out (considering my size and cost) and a wide variety of sounds and modulation effects are possible. I also includes a Sample-and-Hold feature that the Prodigy does not . I am most commonly used for its powerful bass. I am similar some respects to the famous ARP Odyssey, though smaller and slightly less versatile.
I have been used by Peter Gabriel, Add N To (X), 808 State, Stereolab, Mr. Oizo KMFDM, Large Number,Jean Jacques Perrey, Miranda Sex Garden, Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead, Joy Electric, Electrosexual, Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode, John McEntire of Tortoise, Havalina Rail Co., Stereolab and so and so
