"Moon Taxi is like what the Allman Brothers would have sounded like had Duane not died, stumbled into a rehearsal, fired the rhythm section and replaced it with Geddy Lee and Neil Peart of Rush." -- Richard Scott, Nashville drummer w/Gabe Vitek and the Ivory
These guys are to dancing what Viagra is to...well you get the idea.
Moon Taxi is a rock quintet hailing from Nashville that synthesizes the elements of progressive rock and improvisation/jam with a grandiose mixture of folk and jazz. A Moon Taxi show offers incendiary dueling guitar work over an impenetrable and pounding rhythm section, only to be topped off with delicious vocal harmonies. The group prides themselves on their ability to win over ANY type of crowd. The showmanship presented on stage is topped only by the group's natural musicianship and overall tightness. Moon Taxi has just released their debut album 'Melodica' on 12th South Records. It is currently available at Grimey records in Nashville as well as for order and download on this site and through..
and you can always come to a show to get one.
