A fiery mix of electro-pop and noise rock, this singer-songwriter is a veteran of the Modesto music scene, with poignant lyricism and intriguingly twisted instrumentals. - The Stockton Record April, 2008
"Modesto music pioneer and activist Moon Trent is Mexican-American singer and songwriter who lives with his partner and creative associate David Cole. He also manages timmi-kat ReCoRDS, an indie micro-label dedicated to releasing music from mostly obscure and mostly queer artists. On Quilt – The Moon Trent collection 1991-2007 he serves up an anthology of some of his past solo and band work with eclectic disco bumpers and whimsical tunes guaranteed to tickle the most jaded. My picks: “Easy Disco,” “They Don’t Know,” “Rocky Mountain High,” “All The Way,” “What Shall I Do?,” “Crossfire Hero,” “Behind The Wall” and “Special Sound.” - By DJ Puss Puss San Francisco Bay Times June 31, 2007
"It's what might happen if the Scissor Sisters had a little brother that was dating Justin Timberlake and was into Fischerspooner when that was cool. Perfect to listen to while getting ready to go out, and for any dj to play throughout the night. He says he's a dancing queen and I believe it." - Sarah Adorable of Scream Club - XLR8TR Magazine December 06

Moon Trent began his career path in entertainment as a teenage prodigy while producing and appearing daily on KHOP's morning show. Moon earned his position as producer and personality after his internship at KROQ in Los Angeles. He has also appeared on LIVE 105 in San Francisco.
After pleasing crowds on the radio air waves as a personality, Moon redirected his focus to live entertainment. Moon formed indie-bands such as Pale, Brownstar, The Visitors Kimberly, and The JULIAN.
Adhering to indie-ethics he formed the self-managed indie-label timmi-kat ReCoRDS. While guiding timmi-kat, Moon brought along colleagues who performed as part of the M.O.B. (Modesto Organization of Bands). Modesto Organization of Bands introduced indie musicians to the Central Valley and DIY music to the population.
Moon continues to entertain as an indie-singer, song-writer.
“Moon Trent Presents” produces shows in Central Valley venues and for Cental Valley
audiences.

About me:
Moon Trent, one of Modestos rock survivors, has moved back to the area... He always has been a supporter of the local music scene. Ten years ago, he was one of the driving forces behind the Modesto Organization of Bands (M.O.B.) which was a precursor to the Modesto Area Music Association and its MAMA awards. The Modesto Bee - December 20, 2002...
from wikipedia: Moon Trent (born in Turlock, California) is an American singer and songwriter who hails from San Francisco. He is a gay Mexican-American who resides with his partner and creative associate David Cole. He manages timmi-kat ReCoRDS, a California independent micro-label dedicated to releasing music from mostly obscure but predominantly gay and lesbian (queer) artists. Moon Trent has recorded full-length albums with the bands Pale, Brown-Star, The Visitors Kimberly, and The JULIAN before launching a solo career in the new millennium. His first solo offering, a dance version of Hard Candy Christmas (originally by Dolly Parton) was released on 12" vinyl in the United Kingdom in 2001 while Moon lived there. He appeared on television in 1999 and 2004 during E!'s airing of the Howard Stern Show live from New York and Las Vegas. In 2007 he released his collection of bands on the CD "Quilt" featuring the solo single and video, "Old School Dance".
