When the greatest nations of the universe suffer from threats beyond their capabilities... when evils endanger the existence of even the most advanced civilizations... the powers-that-be do not call upon their armies. They do not call upon militia, they do not call upon the help of other governments, they do not call upon religion.
They call upon Moosehound.
Moosehound is a covert society of freedom fighters that reserves its power for the most foul and terrifying of threats. Its organization is unknown; its capabilities are unknown. The only thing that seems certain is that the mightiest villains of tremendous power and bottomless evil fear Moosehound and only Moosehound.
Shrouded in mystery and gifted with incredible power, Moosehound's ranks are alarmingly small; its forces consist of no more than four or five elite fighters from disparate backgrounds, fighters whose diverse capabilities enhance each others'. Kings, emperors, and patriarchs depend upon these warriors to uphold justice and stability throughout their lands, although which threats the heroes decide to respond to-- and when they choose to arrive to help-- is never predictable. They serve when, whom, and how they choose.
Bwah hah hah, foolish Moosehound... you should have killed us when you had the chance! But seriously, thanks for allowing us to live, your capacity for mercy is truly boundless. And your music inspires me to make a mean rock n' roll face.
