This album, officially the first one for MOP Cortex, is a collection of tracks composed between 2006 and 2008, characterized by glitchy and granular sonorities, restless and nervous rhythmics, obscure, tense and rarefied melodic lines, mowed, squeezed and reassembled samples, broken and subdued structures, disseminate of sonic convulsions, and rhythmic cramps. The tracks leads to places apparently without humanity, populated by bodiless scraps on collision course. Nothing safe here.

Hi. I'm Vinx, also known as Mop Cortex, MonkeyPanda, Cyran Masher. I was born in Rossano (Cosenza, Calabria, Italy) in 1977 ad I belong to the world of music since I was 8-9. I live in Bologna (Emilia-Romagna, Italy) since 1996.
After a lot of musical experiences, in a not-well specified moment of my life (between 1997 and 1999) I started to compose electronic music (ranging over techno, breakbeat, breakcore, hip hop, IDM/braindance, mashup, glitch, contemporary, illbient, industrial and others extreme experimental genres).
Since 2005 I release my tracks inconstantly on various webspaces, like SoundClick, ReverbNation, Jamendo (visit the links above) and on the P2P nets (don't forget to search for "Mop Cortex", "Cyran Masher", "Vincenzo Scorza"). As Cyran Masher I produce remixes and mashups (visit the link above). Since 2009 I produce some tech-house music under the nickname MonkeyPanda (visit the link above).
I studied to be a musicologist, a sound designer and a composer and I'm trying to work (and having fun) like sound designer, audio assistant, audio consultant, music producer, remixer, mashup producer, soundscape producer, compilation builder, music selector and musician ...succinctly, with audio stuffs, and above all with digital audio stuffs...
I collaborates with experimental theatre groups, with the band Neilos (visit the link above) and with the electronic and vocal trio Gulino-Rico-Scorza.
At present (as ever) I'm searching for collaborations and for new jobs and commissions in the digital audio world. Nice to meet you.
