And the winner is... Mountain Man. American rock with touches of folk, including banjos, this band had great songwriting, exceptional technical skills including the winner of the 2nd Best Bass Player award, an original sound and a stage presence that fit their music perfectly. They brought it all together for a memorable performance that earned them a trip to New York for one of the National Finals for the Emergenza Music Festival.
It was a great weekend at The Trocadero and an amazing and memorable night on Saturday. Best of Luck to the guys from Mountain Man in NYC.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I wrote a bit about Mountain Man a few months back when I first caught them by chance at the Troc in Philly. They are the lone out-of-towners on the bill and if their rapid rise in Philly is any indication, a band we'll be hearing tons from in the near future. They have played all the top Philly clubs and already scored some live air time on WXPN. And, they just won the Philly region Emergenza show that took them to NYC to play Webster Hall where they finsihed 7th among all East Coast finalists. Now they are set to conquer Nashville and beyond with they homespun "hippie sway" brand of indie folk rock.// posted by JD @ 1:50 AM -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Philadelphia finalists, Mountain Man, played next to a crowd not expecting the music they received. Everyone was thrilled to hear a unique blend of bluegrass, blues, rock, and pop. They are truly a unique band with an equally unique sound. Kudos boys.------------ On Emergenza New York Finals by: Max Power - 13 Jul 2007

We got Prize is Love approved on Radio 104.5 online. Basically, the way it works is the song is available in the On Demand New Music section for streaming only. The more plays it gets, the higher it goes on the charts.
Right now we are around #500 in Alternative and #670 in Rock.
You can play it multiple times from the same machine and it will count in the tally. I have been opening up 3 or 4 browesers at a time and streaming it. If we all work together on it, and get our close friends to chip in, we can get to the top of the charts with ease. At that point, you receive a promotional push from Clear Channels digital streaming network.
These are all unsigned bands, and some of them have had around 2 million song plays just from being in the Top 10.
Let's all work hard and rise up the charts. Tell a friend and keep streaming!!!!
