This Manchester quartet have a lot of potential, on the strength of this demo I have no doubt in saying that Mount Fabric will be the name on peoples' lips in 2009. They have an enormous amount of originality for a band that only came together in 2007. The music is solid, the guitars, bass and drums all blending into a mix of cool riffs, funky patterns and mellow beats. The vocals stand out the most, a great range of pitch suits the music perfectly, conveying fantastic emotion that really makes this record something to shout about, there are parts of this demo that could easily be mistaken for a young Thom Yorke. The track “Heat” stands out the most, an explosion of Indie rhythms, with deep spaced out overtones , that really come together really well indeed. I hope to hear a lot more of this band very soon, they have a lot of gigs lined up as well which is a good sign!

Mount Fabric first met in 2007, and after a whirlwind romance, knuckled down to produce the finest songs they could muster. After many hours of fine tuning and a few new effects pedals later, they're finally ready to be unleashed on the world. Or at least the gig going population of Manchester. Watch out!
