ABOUT THE BAND
It's really very simple........guitars, bass, and drums, with vocals. A collective gathering of musicians that want to escape the hype of MTV bands and Corporate Radio. We know that we can't change the world, but at least we can create something we like and hope that you enjoy it as well.

Con la idea de conocer a Roger, uno de los músicos que formó parte de una de mis bandas favoritas, Ugly Kid Joe, me cruzo con esta banda llamada Moxie. El, guitarra de la misma, me pide escucharla y me doy cuenta de que encaja perfectamente en mis gustos y creo que podría pasar algo similar con ustedes. Originarios de San Diego, Moxie esta acaparado buena atención de la prensa local luego de que sale este CD a las calles titulado “Restrospective”, y por este medio ahora llega a su conocimiento. Esperando lógicamente un sonido al que escuché en su página de myspace, su power pop bien actual y modernoso se salpica con una onda medio Metal progresiva en su primer track “Always”. Pero para los más metaleros, no se entusiasmen demasiado, ya que la columna vertebral de este disco es pura y exclusivamente power pop, es decir vocecitas ala No Doubt, pero con guitarras bien crudas y bases rockeras. La voz de Malena es suave pero a la vez tiene mucha garra, tal vez encuentro cierta similitud a Daize Shayne. Como parte de su prontuario, abrieron para Ozzy Osbourne y Zakk Wylde y se espera próximas fechas las cuales las verán anunciadas en su página. El hit: “Always”. Hey Moxie, I added a new song to the player. It’s called “Frantic Freedom”.
It’s a live studio groove rock jam that’s funky as hell! Think of Jimi Hendrix’s “Foxey Lady” on steroids, and you’ll have a good idea of what’s in store for you when you hear the song. There’s also a companion live video for the song. And in the video I DO MY UPSIDE-DOWN GUITAR PLAYING THING. Ya gotta see it!!
