About me: live and direct -- an U.S. Muziq invasion of BK's prom! check it out!
this is my homie, invincible and her new video, for "sledgehammer". support independent artists who are making us all think and re-shape ourselves.
Whatupdoe? This is Lauren's page to connect with her students in Detroit and the BX. I am an ELA teacher who teaches 9th grade English at Banana Kelly High School. I'm trying to get you (my students) to think for yourselves, to ask questions, to learn to express yourselves and get to know your own voice. Speak up!! (No one else will speak for you) Life is a novel and you choose the ending, what's your plot arc? What's your passion? What makes you get up in the morning? Let's figure it out.
I am back in the city after a year living and studying in the D. I miss the southwest D like crazy. I take lots of photos, mostly of graf and abandoned industrial wasteland, and I have also published my own zines for 10 years. Travel is the best experience that I've ever had, I've been as far as Eastern Africa; I aspire to go to as many places in the world as I can, in order to experience all kinds of different cultures and practices. Truly blessed with family (I have no friends, only family), I enjoy music and dancing and people who have something interesting to say.
Who I'd like to meet: My students from Detroit and the Bronx! This site is for you, to get in touch with me about assignments, your writing, and ask questions that are class related. I also want to meet other educators; it's necessary to strategize and find networks of support to keep our practice effective and aimed at what's really important -- these fabulous students of ours and their progress in life!

Hey, Lauren! ^_^ Ummm... you know that poem that we're supposed to comment or whatever? What is it called? I forgot the name of it, but I thought that if maybe I looked at the names of all the poems written by [BKTwo] I would know it when I see it. However, I still don't know which one it is. So, yeah, what's the poem called and what's the assignment, exactly...? =/ Anyway, thnx in advance! =]
