Welcome to my space, I am Elana Laing! I am a College student majoring in Classical voice. Music, family and friends are my life and I love to perform in many musical genres including Jazz, Pop, Contemporary, Show-tunes and Classical, I also enjoy singing in Italian, Greek, Japanese, French and German. For about ten years I have been performing in numerous settings and capacities. Some of my theatrical performances have included, Little Shop of Horrors, Dracula, Into The Woods and Les Miserables. Right now I am working with multi-instrumentalist, composer Michael Mansfield on my original material, 'You' was the first song we co-wrote, stay tuned, more to come!
How’s it going! Do you dread working out at the gym like I do? The only thing that seems to help me stay on that treadmill is some great music on my ipod that I can workout to. At least it helps the time go by faster, otherwise it feels like a torture session rather than a workout session lol. And speaking of dance music : )…. if you’re looking for some new music to enjoy on your ipod, then I’m just stopping by to remind you I’ve got a new dance-pop/electronica CD out called ‘Dance With Me’ !! ; ) You can buy it at www. cdbaby. com/cd/raine and/or download the mp3 files via itunes. The CD was recently selected for airplay on the fitness television show ‘The Art of Building Bodies’ on E! Entertainment and Men TV. And by the way, if you don’t workout and your exercise of choice is exercising your index finger by clicking your mouse as you cruise the internet, then I hope you will click on the link to my CD above lol. Anyway, thanks for being my myspace friend : ) Please keep in touch!
Hi Elana Thanks for your performing at the Pretty In Pink Breast Cancer fundraiser. We had nothing but praise from the people who attended. Your voice is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL.
Hi Elana
In April I collaborated on a song called ‘Sorry’ with Finn Molund of PerHansa Studio. He wrote the music and I wrote the melody and lyrics. In May I collaborated on a song called ‘This Goodbye Is Forever’ with Jarle Mogard and Karsten Skarphol, also from Norway. They wrote the music and I wrote the melody and lyrics. I think writing/recording music via the internet is an exciting way to get to know and be able to work with other songwriters/musicians that otherwise I would never have the opportunity to work with! If you get a chance, please stop by my page and have a listen as your feedback is always appreciated. I’ve also posted a downloadable song sampler containing one minute samples of all my songs on my RAINE CD that is available via any of the online digital music stores. It would be great to hear from you!

Love and Respect from Camp G. Have a great week! - Your Friend, Jake Glasgow (Mister G)
Hi Elana:
I have written a new song called “Smile for Nichole” which is available for free download. Nichole is the 16 year old daughter of one of my myspace friends Karen. Tragically, Nichole was killed when she was hit by a car. Karen donated her daughter’s organs which benefited the lives of 19 other people. I hope you will please stop by my page, download the song and spread the word about their gift and the organ donation cause. Please read my blog titled ‘Nichole Miller’ for more information and links to Nichole’s and Karen’s websites. I hope you can leave a comment on the blog to give your support.
1. An adjective describing a rhythmic quality of music that is emotionally communicative and soulful; used for music moving at a steady beat. "I am feelin' this groove!"
2. A verb meaning to smoothly interact, maintain or improve relations with a person, or a situation.
*Not to be confused with "Groovy" which was a previous word of the week - two totally different words.
Have a great week! Happy Easter - Jake Glasgow (Mister G)
