Mushrooms Project
aka Giorgio Giri and Marco Lentano found the double dj set in October 2003. They joined their same passion for the House Music linked to the desire in using the dance floor as an experimental sound site.
They have been purely inspired by the Idjut Boys, Mateo & Matos duet
And they introduced themselves with 4 turntables making a sort of deep, disco and funk.
After making their debut in some Italian clubs, Mushrooms Project “exploded “abroad breaking into Formentera and Ibiza Matinée with their mixture.
In 2008 they became producers thanks to Bear Funk Records, a very important “nu disco” label that boasts of being producer of may important artist such as LindstrØm, Chicken Lips, Idjut Boys, Fabrizio Mammarella and many others.
“Nu disco” brought 70’s disco music between live and electro back to life.
2009 gave Mushrooms Project the opportunity of being part of another London label, Electric Minds that foresees the
coming out called “Space Mushrooms” featuring Toby Tobias at hand.
Their DJ sets are notable for their unpredictability so it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Mushrooms Project...

ovvero Giorgio Giri e Marco Lentano, accomunati da una grande passione per la musica house, ma soprattutto dal desiderio di utilizzare la pista da ballo come luogo di sperimentazione sonora, nel 2003 danno vita al progetto.
Ispirati dai dj duo come Idjut Boys, Mateo&Matos, si presentano alla consolle con 4 piatti e coinvolgono nei loro set eclettici una sorta di deep , disco e funk.
Dopo i primi esordi nei locali italiani, i “Mushrooms Project” esplodono da subito anche all’estero, iniziando ad invadere con la propria miscela l’isola di Formentera per poi passare ai matinée di Ibiza e ai club dal basso soffitto di Londra.
Nel 2008 diventano a tutti gli effetti producers grazie alla Bear Funk Records, importante etichetta “nu disco”, che vanta produzioni di artisti di un certo calibro, come LindstrØm, Chicken Lips, Idjut Boys, Fabrizio Mammarella e tanti altri. Per ‘nu-disco’ si intende la discomusic , a metà strada tra il suonato dal vivo e il programmato elettronicamente, oggi tornata in vita attraverso una corrente così ribattezzata.
Il 2009 ha dato ai Mushrooms Project la possibilità di entrare a far parte anche di un’altra etichetta londinese, la “Electric Minds” che prevede un’imminente uscita discografica chiamata “Space Mushrooms” con la collaborazione di Toby Tobias.
Oggi stanno contribuendo a realizzare nuove creazioni con la "Pizzico Records", un'etichetta puramente italiana dagli ottimi propositi....
