Alex Craker & Thierry van Osselt. The live band also includes a turnaround of famous musicians such as Alex Muller on bass and guitars (Equus, Seaplane Harbor, Swoan), David Mamie on bass (Equus, Swoan), Valerie Niederoest on bass (Toboggan), Franco Casagrande on guitars (Casagrande) and on the drums Vincent Haenggi (Each Day Starts Anew), Christian Pahud (Honey for Petzi, Larytta) or Bernard Widmer (Equus, Sueno).
Chapter was born after a few musically-fruitful days in 2004, during which soundscapist extraordinaire of Belgian and Swiss extraction TVO and the multi-instrumentalist and serial singer/songwriter Alex pooled their talents and influences to create a smooth vein of folkrock. A first album was composed, arranged and recorded in a few days in 2004 and was released soon thereafter. Chapter - One (Prologue) received glowing reviews and some substantial airplay, delighting audiences with its well-balanced folk, pop and post-rock undertones.
A synthesis of their feelings and musical ability at the time, the album is predominantly acoustic, relishing slow tempos and a genuine warmth.
Following the success of this first album, the two musicians went back into the studio in the summer of 2006 to record the follow up to Chapter - One. Ten songs of pensive music ; quiet and yet synergistically energetic while maintaining a homogeneous aesthetic. On this new record, titled « Two (The Biographer )», Chapter seem to have perfected their art, creating a smooth vein of folkrock with tunes that unfold their magic even after scores of listens.

heyhey! je vous ai decouvert à la fete de la musique à Geneve, et franchement j'adore votre musique! tres belle voix, tres belles melodies... j'aime bien aussi l'esprit baroque de vos photos!! voila voila, bises à vous!! :)
shoot, il y a eu un probleme d'electricite pour la scene Fort-Galland, du coup on allait commencer et finir plus tard que prevu, la premier chose que je me suis dite ca ete "shit, pour voir chapter c'est rape...".
mais apres le concert, on descend de la scene, et qu'est ce qu'on entend? chapter qui joue encore! mais c'est la fin d'une chanson, aille. Un temps de silence, c'est fini? Non, vous entamez Gemstones! on court a la promenade de l'observatoire. Trop bon de vous voir enfin en vrai... Gemstones, ca sonne deja bien comme une chanson de fin d'album ou de concert, mais heureusement vous en avez encore joue Kamikaze (wow, comment alex descend dans les graves au debut...).

ça y est, je suis enfin en possession du premier chapitre. Et le deuxième m'attend du côté de rive, génial.
bravo pour le Paléo, et pour Hors-Tribu (on a joué là-bas il y a deux ans, sous une petite tente sous la flotte. C'était en août mais on voyait quand même la buée quand on chantait... les organisateurs disaient que c'est comme ça les années paires, vous pourrez voir si ça se confirme :) Très bon souvenir en tout cas).
