Formed October 2003 by Paul (guitar and vocals) and Tony (drums) as a side project. The band soon added Daniel on drums and Tony switched to bass. The band was originally called Lucifer but later decided on Mutilated Messiah. In July 2005 the band recorded a cover of the Nunslaughter classic ....Lucifer.... from the Face of Evil demo (1995) for a Nunslaughter tribute cd. The tribute is was released in 2007. In Feb 2006 the band recorded 4 tracks for their debut 8...., Sadistic Death. The 8.... is ltd to 50 copies only and released in clear vinyl on Paul's label, WARVOMIT records in mid April 2006. It is now sold out. In October 2006 the band again entered the studio to record tracks for a new split 7.... with Nunslaughter which was released by Hells Headbangers on Pic Disc on 4th October 2007. A limited edition of the 7” limited to 100 copies with a real maggot cover was released on February 18 and sold out on February 21. An additional 111 on black vinyl, was released by Hells Headbangers on 9th April 2008. Around November 2007 the band began recording their debut Lp Bleeding Black. Initially the Lp was to a straightforward old school death metal album but with Dan now handling the engineering and sound production the album quickly grew into a massive story/ concept. Paul’s lyrics had always been very story based but now they all worked together to tell the tale of the Messiah Chronicles. Sound wise the album far exceeded the bands expectations sounding far more professional than anything they had attempted previously. The music and vocals for Bleeding Black (The Messiah Chronicles Part 1) were completed in March 2008. The album was recorded by Paul and Dan as Tony decided he no longer wanted to be part of the band. The intros and commentary are currently being recorded. The band could not fit all of the songs required to tell the first part of this story onto one cd so they have two eps in the pipeline to complete the tale. The eps will be have four tracks each (3 non-album and one track from the album). The album track will be last on each ep. The 3 non album tracks will fit directly before the title track of the ep on the album. So if you want the entire story you will need the album and both eps. On the 25th March and the 5th April 2008 the band recorded a rehearsal demo called “In the Coffins”. It will be released on Warvomit records in May 2008 on cassette and will be limited to 50 copies. The band are also compiling all their old demos for release on cassette.
