For this recipe, you will need: Acoustic fingerpicking for delicacy. Rocking chair & cicadas for atmosphere. '59 Wurlitzer organ for oomph. A dash of poetry.
Combine ingredients for "Hands on the Mantle" a new track from my forthcoming debut Look Who's Come to Say Goodbye.
Serve and enjoy.
P.S. At Wuxtry Records recently I picked up a copy of Transfiguration of Vincent. Brilliant stuff, can't stop listening. Especially love the opening guitar on "Outta My Head" ... sounds like you bent hell outta your whammy bar.
When you play in Austin for ACL with Monsters of Folk, it would be really great if you did another small solo show somewhere during that weekend. A small coffee shop show (the sxsw Halcyon coffee show was amazing a few years back). If you decide to do a small show while you're there, please somehow let us know. Blog, maybe? Thanks so much and good luck with shows to come! Looking forward to another great show.

Thanks for being friends with Fair Trade Music PDX! As you know, we're still gathering intelligence about how venues in town are treating their bands. So far, the story's not too good, but a few of them looks like they might be willing to man up and pay musicians some kind of guaranteed minimum wage - the kind that is the law for dishwashers, janitors, bartenders, and every other service worker in the club. Help us identify those venues! If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to complete our online survey. It’s completely anonymous, incredibly simple, and is essential to moving Fair Trade Music into the next level of venue implementation. The survey is at: http://fairtrademusicpdx.org/?q=node/275 It’s a cliché because it’s true – WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT YOUR HELP! Thanks, and Solidarity, Fair Trade Music PDX
