Robinson is most known as the front man, singer, and songwriter of the Raleigh-based hard-country root rockers, The Backsliders. Robinson's Southern Gothic song writing echoes William Faulkner and Tennessee Williams; his voice calling up demons and heartache from a very dark place.
Mylow is Robinson's first recorded output in 9 years, but he has kept busy in both the NYC and NC music scene,fronting his own band, The Vibekillers and playing guitar and touring in Eric Ambel's Roscoe Trio. Currently backed by The Heavy Beat Outfit,Robinson and crew are writing, rehearsing and gigging in preparation for a Spring '09 tour to support the album.
About Mylow: Mylow is a 12-song road map inspired by Robinson's traveling and living between North Carolina and New York. The music reflects a natural evolution of a Southern writing style that he has developed throughout the years.
