we are just having a quick breather after finishing up our tour, playing 12 shows across the country. thanks to everyone who came along, it was a blast. wakefield is definitely the indie capital of the north; dulcimer in manchester and start the bus in bristol tie for nicest venue. we have some 2010 plans in the pipeline to be announced soon.
we've been selling brand new silkscreen-printed t-shirts & tote bags, which have been going down well, and which are now available to buy online. if you want to get your hands on one, click on the images below to go through to the stolen shop:
our debut album, 'here & elsewhere', came out this summer on stolen recordings. rough trade called it 'a melodic indie-pop classic in the making' and included it in their album club. it gots lots of nice radio play on radio 1, radio 2, 6 music and xfm, to mention a few. we did live sessions for john kennedy on xfm and marc riley on 6 music (a track from which can be heard on the player above), and steve lamacq made us 'single of the week' on both his 6 music and radio 1 shows.
you can buy the album from all the usual record stores and also from the stolen website. please click on the cover below to take you through to the site.
we also had a single out- ghost song- at the end of august, which comes with 5 free b-sides: if you click below, you can download all 6 tracks for just 79p. read more about it all on our blog.
we went to south by south west this year for the first time. we met lots of nice people, played some shows, watched lots of bands, and mainly just had an amazing time. everyone should go. check out some photos of us 'on the ranch' in the photos section.
nick was recently featured on channel 4's 3 minute wonder as a finalist for the 2009 '4 new sensations' art prize as picked by charles saatchi. check it out below, you will hopefully recognise the tune.
'a change of scenery' was the first single taken from the album. the video, which was filmed in painfully arctic conditions, can be seen below. don't expect smiles, but do expect umbrellas.
and here's the video our friends henna, dan, and ailsa made for the release of 'good to go':
