we will be touring britain and europe in october/november and there will be various london shows leading up to then. we recently did a session for marc riley on bbc6 music, and we will be doing a xfm session in july.
our next gig is on 15th july with fellow stolen folk pete & the pirates and the european.
• 'good to go' came out as a single on monday 8th june; it was released as a digital download only and can be bought by clicking on the link above or cover below!
it has been getting lots of nice airplay from xfm, bbc 6 music, bbc radio 2 and bbc radio 1, to mention but a few. it was also steve lamacq's single of the week on both 6 music and radio 1. our friends henna, dan, and ailsa made the following video for the release.
• we went to south by south west this year for the first time. we met lots of nice people, played some shows, watched lots of bands, and mainly just had an amazing time. everyone should go. we also played at the great escape in brighton in may.
• 'a change of scenery' was the first single taken from the album, as a digital download only, via itunes and the stolen website. the video, which was filmed in painfully arctic conditions, can be seen below. don't expect smiles, but do expect umbrellas.
• previously we've shared a stage with the likes of why?, the broken family band, frightened rabbit, tilly and the wall, pete & the pirates, darren hayman, micachu, loney dear, the war on drugs, women and eugene mcguinness.
• here's a little taster from our recent album launch gig at the lexington:
Finally got a copy of your LP (on CD no less). I have to say at first I was a little dissapointed by it, perhaps because it wasn't what I expected it to be. However, when I stepped back and just listened to it for what it is, it sunk it's teeth in and I am now enjoying it fully.
Hey fellas, Thx for the friendship- and by the way: Change of scenery is charming like it is,make sure that your current version is available... Cheers KONG!
