What started out as goofy sessions in between school breaks among three classmates has evolved into something that they've come to hold dear to their hearts. It was in June 2005 that the band started to kick into high gear with the arrival of Dhaniah who brought with her a compelling style of writing and singing. Both guitarists Shaun and Fie humbly play their riffs with a certain smilish attitude that makes it hard not to smile back. Bassist Zul creates hooks that are an integral part of their riveting melodies. Mamat, the drummer, is a mad individual diverse in character and style, who adds a whole new dimension to the band’s songwriting.
Not picky with their gigs, they have played at venues ranging from friends’ birthday parties to the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre, touching hearts and whatever else they can along the way ;).
The band looks forward to the future with the sincere ambition to attain a secure foothold in the local music industry for many years to come. They are thankful for what they have achieved so far, yet know deep down that they are far from the end of their long journey together.
The band’s debut EP ‘Peace, green lollipop’ was released in June 2006. Their music can also be found on international compilations such as ‘Fruit Records’ Peachy Little Secrets’, ‘Junk magazine Oct 06 Compilation 01’ and ‘Mercedez-Benz Mixed Tape 17’.
My Writes will be releasing their first full-length album entitled ‘It’s Okay, I’m With The Band’ on 13th June 2009 at the Substation. It was fully recorded and mixed at The End of Recordings by The Lost Boys and My Writes.

'Peachy Little Secrets' is now available, featuring bands from all corners of the world [and of course, us =D]! Be amazed at how people so far away from each other can sound so alike, yet diversified. This compilation album makes you feel like you're floating in a breeze on a warm summer day; high and mellow at the same time.
Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcast day, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.

An introduction to the new Ep:
As I walked down a street, I pondered over how time has shaped the landscape as we know it today. What was it like without the pavements and asphalt? It seems that even though buildings rise and fall, kingdoms come and go, and relationships start and end, the celestial objects seem to remain forever constant, almost a testimony of yesterday, today, and tomorow. I wrote messages into an insignificant piece of paper, folded it up into the shape of an aeroplane, and threw it into the horizon. I watched as it faded away to nothingness against the backdrop of the sun.
Infinity feels innately overwhelming, a feeling mathematics does not seem to convey as well as gazing into the distance that never ends. Where would my paper aeroplane fly to? Is there an end to the journey?
This Ep is an expression of these thoughts. Hope you would enjoy it.
