Born into an artistic family, Native Washingtonian, Amber Mimz was destined to be an artist but specifically a musician. Her unique voice and original compositions fuse a sort of "sultry timelessness that is Undeniable", say's The Washington Informer. This sound has allowed the New School Graduate, Mimz to travel along the east coast to perform at several clubs/venues, festival, parties, universities and lounges including NY's S.O.B.'s, Boston College, Philly's Black Women's Arts Festival, DC's Bus boy's and Poets and further south to Atlanta's Apache Cafe, Morehouse College and D'Jangos to name a few. In the summer of 2008 she performed her first west coast tour in the Bay area of California at La Pena Cultural Center in Berkeley,CA, Savannah's, in Sacramento, CA and other small venues in the area.
As a lover of sounds and expressions, she continues to write songs, dabble on the keys and experiment with production methods. Currently working on other projects and preparing for her Debut EP "All Dressed Up and No Where to Go,” she is defining her sound. Amber Mimz is creating what she calls "Urban Electronic Soul." In this creativity she will surely fulfill her musical ambitions.
