NAGÄF es una banda de la ciudad de Bogotá (Colombia) que aparece en el año 2008. A pesar del poco tiempo de conformación, algunos de sus integrantes han estado involucrados en la escena hardcore/punk por más de 10 años y han participado (o participan) en otras bandas tales como: Xterminio, Res Gestae, Otra Alternativa, Reacción Propia, Sabotaje, Grita o Muere y Mano de Obra Barata
Según autores que han interpretado el Antiguo Testamento, NAGÄF es un término que significa: Empujar, derrotar, infligir (una enfermedad), arrebatar, caer, castigar, deshacer, herir, matar y vencer, colocando a Dios como responsable de estas acciones mortales. En este sentido, es un término que, para nosotros, pone en evidencia la responsabilidad de Dios (es decir, del rey, del supremo, del poderoso, del cacique, del experto, del militarismo, del patrón, de las religiones, del gobierno y de todos aquellos enfoques que tratan de mostrarse como verdades universales, únicas y absolutas) en la formulación, implementación y perpetuación de relaciones sociales basadas en la dominación, conquista y objetivación de territorios, cuerpos y mentes.
Tras procurar instalar un único parámetro de interpretación del mundo, se aboga por un pensamiento único que no sólo exalta una particular visión de las cosas, sino que, por medio de la violencia, la intimidación, el castigo y la censura, configura "correctos" (e ideales) parámetros sociales de comportamiento que, como refleja la historia de nuestros pueblos, deben ser implementados y acatados a sangre y fuego bajo el consentimiento de los sectores dominantes de turno y, claro está, bajo la bendición de la santa iglesia.
Taking popular music back on the stage, NAGÄF was born in Bogotá (Colombia) in 2008 to stand for the critical-political music which refuses to bepart of the consumer based standards. In spite of the short time, the band was conformed some of the members have been involved in the hardcore/punk scene for more than ten years. And some of them are currently playing in bands like: Xterminio, Res Gestae, Otra Alternativa, Reacción Propia, Sabotaje, Grita o Muere y Mano de Obra Barata.
According to authors who have interpreted the Old Testament, NAGÄF means: to push, to defeat, to inflict (a disease), to snatch, to fall, to punish, to undo, to hurt, to kill and to beat, putting God as the first and foremost responsible for this deadly actions. For us, this word proof the responsibility of God (i.e, the king, the supreme, the almighty, the tyrant, the expert, the master, the military, the religions, the government, and all those institution as well as individual characters who address to have a universal truth, unique and absolute) in the formulation, implementation, and perpetuation of social relationships based on territory, body and mind domination conquest and invasion.
After trying to make the whole world as one-dimensional as it could be, it look after a unique way of thinking, that just not arouse a particular view, but defend by means of violence, intimidation, punishment and condemnation, configuring the "right" (and ideal) social parameters of behaving that, as the history of our people shows, must be implemented and obeyed by any means of fire and blood under the consent of the dominant sectors and, of course, under the blessing of the holy church.
