(Michelle Poe: Former dreamworks recording artist, Current bass player for Hank Jr.)
"Nathan is one fine fiddle player and a hell of a performer. It’s an honor to work with him."
(Keith Burns: Trick Pony)
"I had the pleasure of working with Nathan throughout '08 and '09...he is an amazing talent both in the studio and on stage. Aside from his monstrous chops, his work ethic and attitude make him invaluable to any touring or recording ensemble."
(Peter Keys: Lynyrd Skynyrd)
"Nathan Stoops joined Aaron Tippin on my recent tour to Iraq to entertain the troops. The performances drew record crowds throughout Kuwait and Iraq. Nathan is not only an incredible musician but an American Patriot willing to donate his time to journey into a War Zone to say thank you to our men and women in uniform. He was a pleasure to work with and an asset to the music industry."
(Judy Seale: President/CEO Stars for Stripes, Inc. Judy Seale International, Inc.)
Nathan Stoops is a fiddle player with the energy of a Rock Star combined with the finesse of a classically trained musician.
He began his music instruction at the young age of 7. Throughout High School, Nathan honed his craft and pursued his dream of becoming a professional musician by studying with various professional violin instructors. Classical training came from a member of the Chicago Symphony, along with collegiate training at Hillsdale College and the Cincinnati Conservatory. Fiddle instruction came from a naturally gifted ear for improv combined with years of playing country, Christian, and blues with various artists.
Nathan landed his first gig with a pro orchestra at the age of 21, but realized that it was not the direction he wanted to go with his career. He moved to Nashville in 2007 and quickly became known as a very high energy performer with great chops, positive attitude, and a winning personality.
In 2008 Nathan performed over 150 shows through national and international touring. In late summer, he joined the John Karl band and spent several months performing as the house act for the world famous Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. The biggest highlight of the year however was a 10 day tour of Kuwait and Iraq with country superstar Aaron Tippin.
As a songwriter, Nathan has had the privilege of collaborating with some of Nashville’s best writers.
As well as performing, Nathan has taught the violin or fiddle for several years and currently has a few students that he teaches on a weekly basis.
Nathan can currently be seen performing on tour with Chris Cagle.
Need more than just a fiddle player for your band? Nathan is also an accomplished harmony vocalist, and can provide utility services on acoustic guitar and mandolin.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope to see you soon at a show!!
