National Product, named one of the 'TOP 100 BANDS TO WATCH IN 2008' in the upcoming April '08 Alternative Press Magazine, has been storming through the music scene with the ferocity and determination of a band that is poised for success.
The band's stellar debut release, Luna, out now on R&M Artist Records and produced by James Paul Wisner (Paramore, Underoath, Dashboard Confessional), is seeing the first single entitled "By All Means" turn heads at Alternative Radio across the country. The song can also be heard these days at the movies as it is featured in a national CINEMASOUNDS campaign where it is being played in over 6,500 movie theaters. Building on their red-hot momentum, the video for "By All Means" is currently being seen on-line, at broadcast outlets in towns from coast to coast and at major retail and life-style shops in malls across the USA and has recently made its way onto TV. BY ALL MEANS just WON the FRESHMEN 5 on MTVU. A week prior MTV & Freedom Zone had a crew in Salt Lake City, Utah interviewing the boys for a show called ON THE RISE which will showcase the bands personalities, music, videos as well as serious topics like their involvement in various charities, suicide, the music industry from their point of view and how to survive as a band and family on the road through all the trials and tribulations that a band faces in this modern music world.
An OC band by way of Hawaii, National Product consists of five guys( Danny/lead singer, Robby/drums, Stan/guitar, Nate/ bass-vocals and Jeff/guitar) from many different walks of life. The band originally started in Hawaii as best friends.
"We have a serious undying passion for music and the fans of music. We are not competitive with other bands because making music to us isn't a competition, it's an art form, it's our way of communicating, healing ourselves, and others and expressing who we are. We love all types of music and believe in writing songs straight from our guts and directly from the heart. Everything we do with this band is motivated by what is RIGHT in our heart versus what sounds right to others or what pays the bills. We are not motivated by fame or money. We are motivated by sing-a-longs, hugs, rad people, good times, and rocking you like a hurricane. Some of us are religious, and some of us are not. Some of us party really hard and some of us do not. We all like to rock though", says singer Danny Casler.
The songs on Luna are inherently catchy, but the band pushes far beyond having just great hooks to captivate the listener. They have a sense of purpose, with music and lyrics covering the gamut of emotions apt for all music fans to embrace. Alternative Press Magazine awarded NP's debut album, LUNA, 3.5 STARS in their August 2007 issue, hailing the album as: "half aggressive, half melodic, all catchy...solid record", with the record garnering 4’s and 5’s all across the board in highly regarded web and magazine reviews. Even before LUNA or any single was released, NP hit the top of the radio chart with a massive number 1 hit in Hawaii at KUCD with the shimmering "Love Me". They have shared the stage with acts such as: Saosin, New Found Glory, Rise Against, Yellowcard, Poison The Well, The Vandals, Me First & The Gimme Gimmes, Emery, Anberlin, Mute Math, Eisley, Shiny Toy Guns, Over It, Lorene Drive, Just Surrender, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Jeffree Star, 36 Crazy Fist, Unwritten Law, Mickey Avalon, Sugar Cult, Scary Kids Scaring Kids and many more.
In conclusion, we are simply 5 dudes who left everything behind to pursue music in its most pure and honest form and in the best way we know how in a place where we had no friends or family. We love what we do and we do a lot for charity and others. If you’re down with what were about, PLEASE come to a show, buy a cd, buy a shirt or go to a charity in our "reach out" section and donate because you felt inspired or motivated by NP and when you leave, don't forget to come give us a hug. It gets us from town to town. xo If you ever wanna know anything about us, ask us.

National Product has taken a year off from ANY and ALL touring to enjoy time with their friends and family. Danny has been traveling the world doing humanitarian efforts, Stan has been producing and mixing bands, Jeff has been creating commercials and writing music with his friends, Robby recovered from a brain tumor and has been running a Jewelry company with his girlfriend and Nate has been writing music and spending time with his loved ones. More coming soon.

How did you hear about/discover National Product?
They were the first band and probably one of my first friend requests on MySpace 5 years ago.
Why do you like us?
I remember listening to "Where Do You Go" and falling in love from the first sound of the guitar on the intro. I was going through some rough times and that song hit close to home. I have to say a tear came out and I was able to just let go. I watched probably every YouTube video of the guys and they just have so much emotion in every song and every performance. They are real dudes. They actually talk to you on MySpace. Danny has given me his personal phone to chat and meet up when they are in town. They take time to talk to every fan at all their shows. They are more than just some band. I consider these guys family.
What is your favorite song and why?
My favorite song would probably be Explode. The song shows a soft side in the beginning and is very relaxing. You get to sit back, hear the vocals and awesome composition. Then after "So stand close I'm about to explode" the song just goes on a rocket ride and takes off. The song hits hard in the second half and you really get to feel the emotion in the song. This song was a favorite from the first listen.
My question to you...
How many people go the extra mile to get an NP onesie made for their daughters? The day my soon-to-be wife went into labor I had this shirt made. My first NP show my baby was in the womb and I remember she was not too active the whole night until NP came on and did there set. The baby just started kicking inside of her mother's tummy and I remember Danny on stage pointing over to us and yelling "there's a baby in there people." My daughter has been a fan before she was even born.

OTENKI
LOCATION: Houston, Tx
Meet OTENKI, these sexy guys are from TEXAS and have been loyal to NP for as long as I can remember. You will noticed Danny's twin brother Enoma, plays in this band as well (the big black guy). These guys just finished their debut with Paul Levitt (All Time Low/Over It) and are starting their fresh career off. I was told they are even doing a record in spanish. Thats pretty tight! Go check them out and show your love.
Alot of people think of Mexico, and they think Tijuana. Its the most accessible part of the country so thats kind of obvious. When we toured the entire country of Mexico, Acapulco was one of the places that stood out for us. We arrived after a 16 hour drives, while listening to Strung Out and Face to Face records. Our hotel was this 30 floor sky rise on the ocean. We got in so early that we had to wait to get in so we all went to the beach. Beers were 30 cents a pop so we bought a whole bunch. We swam, slept and partied till it was time for our room. 4 days in Acapulco, on the beach, everyday super sunny and tons of fun. Food was a little costly if you went to the standard places but if you found taco stands, its a steal. Dont drink the tap water, or salsa unless its jarred and made from bottled water or else you will hate life for a few days.

Our fans often ask us what we want as gifts on tour... they bring us cookies, gift cards, dinner, Mix Tapes (CD's of your favorite songs) and more. Below are some of the things you can bring us if you like, you are not obligated and we sincerely appreciate any love you give us as you adopt NP as your band =)
Or you can donate any amount of money from $1 to $1 Million to the band... Your Donations will go towards things like GAS, MAINTENANCE & The Overall Survival of the Band on the Road. In the last few months we have had a VERY hardcore mess on our hands with things breaking down and forcing us to cancel dates etc. We want to make sure that things like this are less painful and since we aren't rich, anything you donate goes to basically keep NP alive and well and doing what we love and do best. All donators get special gifts from the band plus their name up for donating.
