Equipped with a solid national buzz, Nayrok’s stage show is a force of free energy personified. On stage she is uncharacteristically the total opposite of her otherwise demure person. She performs with a four-piece band that through her guidance is thought by many to be one of the best bands in Dallas. She sings from a music perspective inspired by years of love-hate relationships, triumphs and shortcomings. A car accident in 1999 caused by a drunken driver in Houston left Nayrok with two severely broken legs and two years of rehabilitation. This life-altering event briefly snatched some physical capabilities but strengthened her mentally and musically. It forged a natural element of music uncharted in the industry. The accident also birthed her personal motto. Nayrok ends every show with the cherished phrase to, “Love Hard, Live Hard, and Rok Harder!“ After hearing this genius femme-beacon of Rock Hip Hop and Funk fusion, forgetting Nayrok will be the hardest.
Nayrok is arguably the most sought after female artist in Texas. Her highly anticipated album debut, Nayrokula has industry insiders and fans salivating. Highly touted and sought after since 2000, Nayrok attributes part of her reluctance to sign with a major label to "the fulfilled love of live performance, without the conformity to label and industry politics.” True to her passion as the hot sun in the city she calls home, she admits that last year was her year to "do it". However, she self-prescribed herself a period of "self atonement" and had to shed a few people in her camp for a plethora of reasons.
