Since people can't read NECROSYS BROKE UP-INCASE YOU DIDN'T READ THE HEADLINE ITS A MEMORIAL PAGE! I'm sorry for the caps but there so many ignorant fucking people out there and they don't read. It's stated in more than one placed that the band broke up. It's hard enough to talk to old friends that didn't know about his passing-but it helps me come to terms with this loss....this is why i designed this page-for us...so please stop asking to promote for us, book us, review us-the only thing Necrosys needs is someone to press the songs-if there is anyone that can help please let me know.
Necrosis was formed in 1992 in the Flanagan garage with Brian on guitar and Gary on bass/vocals. After writting a few tunes they grabbed friends Phil Peseri on bass, Erik Styeskal on guitar, and Sal Barbieri on drums. The vocals were then split between Gary and Brian. After two very poorly recorded demos they went back to the studio and released Eternally Hanging Dead in 1993. This demo propelled them into the Long Island death metal scene head first.
After playing everywhere all the time the band had a few lineup changes. Phil was replaced by Jon "Spiderfingers" Pangburn on bass and they picked up Willer Lora from Long Island's Cross Fade (not that weak band you hear on the radio) who replaced Erik on guitar. With the new lineup and letters from Eric Wagner of Necrosis (Rhode Island) they decided to change the spelling to Necrosys. Necrosys went on to play countless shows with V.O.D., Internal Bleeding, Fallen Christ, Pyrexia and Final Chapter. Then when Frank Cariolla (Club Sundance) opened The Roxy in Huntington, LI shit went sick. Necrosys then went on to play with Broken Hope, Sinister, Death, Fear Factory, Cannibal Corpse, Unleashed, Suffocation, Merauder, Darkside, Mortal Decay, Gorefest, Cynic, Macabre, Dying Fetus, Boltthrower, Benediction and many others.
In 1997 Necrosys went to Legend Studios to record their full length cd "Symptoms". Unfortunately the recording never surfaced due to a cocksucker named Ed Kelly from Witchhammer Records who fled to England with the final recording as well as the finished recordings from Tyrant Trooper (CT), Infestation (Mass.), Drogheda and few others. I am looking for a label to press the "Symptoms" CD, but unfortunately I only have a 1" reel, which causes a whole new problem, cause reel to reel is fucking outdated. I will be posting some of those tracks soon but with no mixdown just raw old school Long Island Death Metal. You are probably wondering why I would post these "out-dated" tracks, well my best friend and bandmate Brian Flanagan passed away and this entire site is dedicated to him. I love you Brian and miss you unbelievably............ pieces.
Check out the myspace profiles of the people who made this page and these memories possible; gary, rafael, sal, and jon.
