NOVEMBER 2004 TO FEBRUARY 2005: Neldöreth was formed in November of 2004 by Oz Bloodcurse. The band formed after he left the band Dark Symphony due to the musical direction they were taking. He was joined by Mephisto (guitar), Nathan Bailey (guitar), Brad Feist (drums) and Morbid (bass). Nathan left before the first demo, due to his dislike for Oz's Satanic views. The first demo, "Follow the Gods" was recorded in late December '04, but never was released. In February of '05, Brad left to persue other musical projects. He was replaced by Bryan Anderson, whom Oz met the year before at a Slayer concert.
OCTOBER 2005 TO JUNE 2006: In October of 2005, Morbid left the band due to personal problems at the time. He wasn't replaced until March of 2006, by Balrog. The band recorded another demo in March of the same year, titled "Hymns ov Golgotha". Neldöreth played their first live show on April 20th, 2006. In June 2006, they released their 3rd demo, "Invert the Crucifix". Also in June, Morbid was brought back to the fold to fill in for a few live shows for Balrog. After the shows, Balrog was fired and Morbid was brought back.
JULY 2006 TO DECEMBER 2006: The band then went hard to work on their fourth demo, "Under Azazel's Dark Wings". They also at this time, went through a few live guitarists. The "Under Azazel's Dark Wings" demo was recorded in August of '06 at "Studio Hades" under the work of yet again, Gino Wasnetsky. The band, however, only released a small number of copies due to Oz not being very happy with the album. During this time, the band also went through two live rhythm guitarists. Steve Dupak (ex-Penetralia) was the first. He helped out with one show in August. Second was Eric Becker (Killing Chapel), who played a show in October with us. Also before that show, Massacre was fired due to not showing up and being totally unprofessional. Extermination drummer Jez filled in last minute so the show could still happen. We will forever thank Jez for his last minute help!! Massacre was repleaced by Kerry Dennis Jr, but he left the band shortly after due to personal reasons.
FEBRUARY 2007 TO AUGUST 2007: In February 2007, the band added second guitarist Darrell Creel. Shortly afterwards, Morbid left the band again. His replacement was Joe Ruggere. In August '07, Massacre was brought back into the fold to help perform one show. He again stiffed the band and was replaced by Brad Feist who learned the set in three days. He returned to the band for a short time. Soon after, Mephisto was let go and Joe switched over to rhythm guitar.
MAY 2008 TO PRESENT: In May, Oz and Darrell decided to record everything themselves and hire session members for live shows. The band is currently working on their new EP with a January 2010 release expected. The band is also embarking on their first tour in June 2010 with Korr.
