Jason is a multi-platform artist. He started his career in his early teens when he became interested in acting. He was in a movie called “The Man Who Saw Tomorrow”, and did several live musicals and dramas, including Bye-Bye birdie, West Side story, King Lear, Tom Sawyer, Our Town, and The Little Prince.
Jason began playing guitar at the age of ten, and after graduating from high school in Los Angeles he attended the Berklee School of music in Boston, where he completed two semesters before returning to LA to pursue music professionally.
He joined a band called “Kill For Thrills” as the lead guitar player, co-wrote some of the songs, and signed with MCA records. The band toured extensively, released one EP, and one LP. Then the band fell apart.
Jason next formed the band “The Beauties” and signed with Gasoline Alley, a subsidiary of MCA. This group released one LP before it, too, disbanded.
Six months later Jason and long-time friend Donovan Leitch formed “Nancy Boy”. They moved to England in 93’, signed with Equator Records, an independent label, and released their first record in the U.K.
Jason and the band moved to NYC in 1994 where they signed with Electra Records. They released their second record and did a world tour to promote it. The touring produced a top ten hit in Australia and England. In 1998 the band left Electra and signed with Mammoth Records, a subsidiary of Disney. However, before the third record was finished, Jason left the band to move to LA to pursue a solo career.
Back in LA in 2000 he released an EP titled “Nomedia” on his own record label, which he also decided to name Nomedia.
During this time he toured as guitar player with Amada Ghost, a Warner Bros. artist, and played guitar on her second album.
He recorded his first full length solo album, “Greetings From Pleasure Island”, in 2001, another Nomedia Records release.
At the end of 2002 he signed with Universal Music Publishing as a writer and Producer.
He has recently completed his second full length solo album. t is called "Portrait and will be released on Fundamental Records in April, 2006. He is presently the Musical Director for A&M Records artist, Joanna, is playing guitar with Black Crows lead guitar player Marc Ford’s band, is writing with artists from England and Australia, and is working on his own third album. He also composes music for several TV shows and documentaries.

Jason! Thank you for adding me as a friend. I have to say, I only recently discovered your music and I love the sound. Some of it's very calming, and some of it is more rock and roll. A very good balance indeed!
Next Friday, my radio show's theme is songs with the word "sun" somewhere in the title, and I'll be playing "Mumtaz (The Rising Sun)". If only the station had more than a 2 mile radius!
