BIOGRAFIA (italiano)

I Neural Noise sono un gruppo musicale Alternative Rock di origine marchigiana (Marche, Italia). La loro musica è catalogata come Alternative Rock ed è caratterizzata da un mood spesso malinconico retto da un groove eclettico quasi sempre di stampo rock/grunge o ‘90th se vogliamo.
I Neural Noise nascono nel 2002 con il nome “The Smoothies” sotto forma di power trio, nome che durò fino al 2005, anno in cui avvenne il primo cambio di formazione che portò al conseguente cambio di nome in “Neural Noise”.
Dal 2005 al 2008 la band conobbe svariati cambi di line-up legati ai più disparati motivi e la formazione attuale (diventata un quartetto) è quella ufficiale dall’ottobre 2008 ed è composta da:

Alessandro Malvatani (voce/chitarra)
Riccardo Natali (chitarra)
Andrea Mercuri (basso)
Gimmy El Helou (batteria).

Il periodo che va dal 2005 a quello attuale è, discograficamente, il periodo più significativo per la band, che di anno in anno ha prodotto svariati EP riuscendo ad ottenere diverse recensioni, diversi passaggi in radio e diverse collaborazioni con etichette indipendenti e publisher in tutto il mondo, come ad esempio la Matchbox Recordings U.K. di Oxford nel 2006 che ha incluso “NOA” (prima traccia del primo EP della band “Sweet Grunge” datato 2006) nella compilation “The Big Indie Come Back vol. 2” distribuendola in tutto il mondo digitalmente e nei negozi di musica, e Bob Dellaposta (My 3 Kids Music), publisher americano con cui la band ha firmato un contratto nel 2007.
Nello stesso anno la band incide il suo secondo EP intitolato “The Scene EP” e gira il suo primo videoclip per promuoverne la taccia numero 1 (The Scene, traccia da cui prenderà poi il nome l’EP). Il video fu girato con mezzi di fortuna in maniera totalmente “home made” e rimase in rotazione su diverse web TV e su Piper Channel (programma serale in onda su una TV locale) per alcune settimane.
Nel 2008, prima dell’ultimo cambio di formazione, entra in studio e registra, in presa diretta, il suo terzo EP intitolato “This is what i see EP” che verrà stampato in sole 50 copie numerate e distribuito indipendentemente durante i concerti.
Nel 2009 i Neural Noise incidono l’ennesimo EP autoprodotto dal titolo “This is what i say EP” all’interno del quale verranno incluse 3 cover riarrangiate dei Beatles (Helter Skelter, Come Together e She Loves You) i 3 pezzi del precedente EP e 3 pezzi nuovi, uno dei quali scritto e cantato in italiano.

BIOGRAPHY (english)

Neural Noise are an italian alternative rock band formed in Marche, Italy, in 2002. Initially the band was born as a power trio under the name “The Smoothies” and in 2005 changed its name in Neural Noise. Their music is categorized as Alternative Rock and it’s characterized by a melancholic mood that meets a rock/grunge groove that come up from the ‘90th.
From 2005 to 2008 the band underwent several changes of line-up due to various reasons and the current line-up (4 members) is the official one since October 2008 and it’s composed by:

Alessandro Malvatani (voice/guitar)
Riccardo Natali (guitar)
Andrea Mercuri (bass)
Gimmy El Helou (drums).

The period between 2005 and the current one is, for the band, the most productive in terms of EPs and during the years they reached a lot of people all over the world, growing up their fun base.
In 2006 they signed for “Matchbox Recordings U.K”, an Oxford based independent label that included the song “NOA” (the first track of the first band’s EP titled “Sweet Grunge”) in its “The Big Indie Come Back vol. 2” compilation that was distributed all over the world.
In 2007 the band signed for Bob Dellaposta, owner of the american full service publishing company My 3 Kids Music and during the years they was included in many radio rotations all over the world.
In the same year the band recorded its second EP titled “The Scene EP” and shooted a completely homemade video to promote the first song titled “The Scene”.
In 2008, before the last line-up change, the band recorded “This is what I see EP” including in the tracklist a rearranged cover of “Helter Skelter” by the Beatles and pressed it in only 50 numbered copies distributed during their shows.
In 2009 the band recorded another EP that features 3 Beatles cover (Helter Skelter, Come Together and She Loves You), the 3 songs included in the previous EP and 3 new songs, one of which written and sung in Italian (the EP is titled “This is what I say EP”).
