Neutral Sisters This dynamic duo is comprised of two sisters Kyra and Bianca Noons. Born in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya East Africa, to an English father and Jamaican mother. They became part of the Kenyan Culture and the English culture, then moving to Jamaica became part of the Jamaican culture . Two independently unique voices join together combining their lyrical ability with intricate harmonies and catchy melodies. The Sisters are currently promoting and performing their Album Live-N-Direct which features the dynamic duo Sly & Robbie on drum and bass, Robbie lyn on the keyboards, Beeze on Guitar, and the legendary guitarist Ernie Ranglin is also featured on the album. The majority of the album was recorded and engineered by John Pops Dowling in Jamaica.The CD, LIVE-N-DIRECT is available at www.ebreggae.com and www.cdbaby.com. 2006 performances : Bob Marley festival in Austin, The International Festival in Houston Opening for Burning Spear,Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in Boonville California with major artists such as Gregory Isaacs, U-Roy, Cocoa Tea, Culture, Don Carlos, Ken Boothe, Cornel Campbell, Inner Visions, to name a few. National College Campus activities magazine. 2003 performances: First ever Reggae Sumfest in Miami which consisted of a lineup of Sean Paul, Wyclef, Lady Saw, Wayne Wonder, Beenie Man, Fat Joe, Lil Kim and others. Opened for Third World at the club Fitzgeralds (Houston), Club Live (Houston), 2003 Caribbean Festival, 2003 press/media: Houston Press feature Cover story in the July 17th-23rd volume 15 number 29 issue. This can be viewed at www.houstonpress.com archives. 2002 performances: Rebel Salute at Port Kaiser Sports Club in St. Elizabeth Jamaica, in front of an audience of over 20,000 people. Neutral tributed their performance to the late Pele Lanier, who was both their Manager and beloved friend. Bob Marley Festival in Houston. Spent five months working on album in Jamaica. 2002 press/media: Gargamel magazine(England) 2001: Neutral Sisters formed relationships With Pops John Dowling: vocal producer extraordinaire, Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare. The recording of the music and vocals began on album Live-N-Direct. 2000 performances: Bob Marley Festival (Houston).In March they shared the stage with Luciano in Negril on the Tropical Insanity tour, co-ordinated by Walter Elmore, Reggae Sumfest 2000. Opened for Bone Thugs and Harmony and Beenie Man at the Aquasol production in Montego Bay Jamaica. 2000 Press/media: Gleaner Newspaper (Jamaica), Star Newspaper (Jamaica) 1999 achievements: Won 1st prize in Billboard Songwriters competition in the Pop Category for song and title track of album Live-N-Direct
