Floorball started in the 1970's in Sweden as an alturnitive to ice hockey. Since then it has experienced unparralled success through out scandinavia & the rest of europe!
Floorball is now played in more than 51 countries and is officially one of the worlds fastest growing sports.
Floorball is played indoors on a court 40m by 20m or on a normal basketball court. Each team consists of 5 court players & a goalie. All players have a stick which can be either left or right handed. The goalies' rely on their hands to catch and throw the ball out, they do not use sticks.
The aim is to score more goals than the opposing team in 3 X 20min periods.
Newcastle floorball is devoted to promoting floorball throughout the Newcastle area.

ha mariners played like crap i reckon, terrible game, well done to the jets though.
Yeah things are going good down here, we getting quite a lot of people interested in playing tis year, 1st game will either be 3 31st or march or the following Monday. I gotta find some cheap knee pads for goalies, got helmets from USA and some cheap soccer gloves. Its all looking good. How it going up there? I was looking at the results from the games on your site.
COACHES & TEAM MANAGERS! Text Messaging Your Teams
Would you find it helpful if you could advise team members and parents about upcoming sports fixtures, and take a fraction of the time you take now? Would you like to organise your umpires and helpers with no fuss and no stress? What about having instant access to everyone if the weather means a game has to be cancelled at the last minute?
Sports clubs we’re working with now tell us our eTeam Manager program is the best thing since - well – sliced bread. It makes them look impressive to sponsors, too. So we thought you may like to know about it.
It’s just so simple. All you do is give us a fixture of what you have on, where it’s to be held, the date and time, a map location if you’re leaving the clubs sports grounds - and maybe a short good luck message. You can email us or make one, easy phone call. Email is best. You’ll have given us a database containing names and the mobile phone numbers of your sports people, and we send a text message to everyone. No matter where they are, they’ll get your message, and they’ll have it right there on their mobile phone, at their fingertips. It won’t get lost. (You’ll see an image of what the message looks like on the banner we’ve attached below.)
New this season - We can even give you a log on that lets you access eteam and send an urgent message yourself – very cost effective!!!
The cost is TINY. What’s more, WE CAN WE CAN ACCEPT PAYMENTS FROM INDIVIDUAL TEAM MEMBERS
One more thing: you can use eTeam Manager to FUNDRAISE, or by charging a fee for your sponsors to include their name on your message to everyone.
This isn’t all eTeam Manager can do for you. Email or call us for a quick chat. We’d be delighted to tell you more and answer your questions. We have a SPECIAL TRIAL OFFER for teams to take up this offer, too!
hey.. yeah it was a great game...all of us from down here learnt so much..ill get on to ppl about having some more, towards the end outr team was going good,, we worked out defending and offense a bit more. ill talk to ya soon. Have a good one
There is an Eastern Elite Series about to start up. Once a month for mini tournaments, including games in Newcastle. It would be great to have a Newcastle Team to come up against Bondi Rockets lol.
I know some of the old Belmont guys are keen to play, along with a few of the Cobra boys. Add to that the little Rankin Park Hockey boys, Ryan, Fraze, Josh. And you could have a pretty young, fast skilled team.......
The Team rego needs to be done basically this week so it needs to be snappy. Talk to Nick Brady and Sam Turner and get organised.
Like I said its only one day a month for actual games.
Teams involved will include 2 from Canberra, 5 or so from Sydney, hopefully you guys (1 from Newcastle), and maybe 1 from Brisbane. What an opportunity!
hey....havn't seen u in awhile. i haven't been able to get up to newie to train..not sure if u still doin it though...if so i plan to be up there in the next few weeks.....cheers...cya later

yeah it was... we just need to get our team together and used to the contact.. as over here we cant touch people at all... so our boys had to change from full contact ice hockey to not touching and then back to full??? Was weird... but over all good to watch...
Just a suggestion, perhaps it would be cool if you posted some game rules or aim of the game etc so people like myself who have no idea how the game works, can have some insight to Floor ball & whether its for them or not. Some photos of the game in action might be cool too.
Just a suggestion
But other then that exo to see you getting in & promoting the sport you love - keep up the good work
the grand final would have been better if the referee had listened to his brother a bit more, and sent him off a bit less. it is true, i am cut real deep.
