For the past 9 years, Danny Roberts has been building up his reputation countrywide by playing club after club making him one of the most promising talents the industry has to offer.
Having started pushing his dj career at various club nights in areas in and around Birmingham, Danny’s status begun a rapid rise amongst the midland clubbers and soon became a regular fixture on the dj circuit. Popular nights such as Fluffy, Cheyenne, Boo! Hard Ground, Spongy, Decks ‘n’ Effects, Submission, Grapefruit Summer Soundsystem Outdoor Festival, Frazzle, Ave It, Excentric, Megahertz, and Buzzin soon became Danny’s hunting ground, earning himself countless guest slots as well as residencies at some of the previously mentioned clubs.
Having firmly made his mark, Danny was instantly picked up by the massively popular Dropzone night and immediately was made a resident. This then gave him a huge opportunity to showcase his skills and sound to a much larger crowd and some of the countries biggest djs.
Having earned a guest dj slot on Wolverhampton based radio show – Clubbed Up, the producers instantly took to the young talent and offered him a co-presenter slot.
Over the years Danny has now be given the show to present as his own and made in an instant hit not just in the UK but worldwide. Clubbed Up goes out on the Internet every Friday night from 8-10pm at www.wcrfm.com as well as 101.8FM (On local frequency) and features the very best in the big named DJs to the finest up and coming talent from through England. On several occasions it has been dubbed, “The dance music version of The Chris Moyles Show” due to the very hilarious conversations and open opinions. Danny’s style has developed over the years; today see’s him concentrating on forming a fresh sounding combination which fuels tech house, minimal and techno to intense proportions. His sets generally are fun, energetic, deep, twisted and imaginative moving up and down with atmosphere of the crowd and providing a great set of music. Danny can prove his versatility by catering for the chunkier, groovier jackin side of house music by fusing together the more upbeat housier sounds as well as peaking the tempo and powering out a tribally uptempo rolling techno beats making him one of the most versatile DJs around.
During Summer ’08, Danny successfully completed a 5 month visit to Ibiza where he was able to play in some of the most respected and best loved venues on the island. He earned himself guest slots, residencies, extended sets and repeated bookings for the likes of Eden, Es Paradis, Ibiza Rocks, Bar M, Kanya, Filthy Gorgeous, Savannah, Viva, The Bahia, Itaca, Orange Corner and Es Vive as well as featuring at pool & villa parties through out the island on a regular basis gaining himself enough respect and credibility by promoters and clubbers to feature in a different venue on a daily basis.
With Danny’s popularity on the radio and in clubs rapidly rising, he’s constantly taking bookings every weekend, countrywide.
