PRESS:
His new full-length album Waiting for the Flowers to Bloom is a meaty collection that'll surely appeal to fans of Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie and the early material of Altobelli's personal fave, Ryan Adams.
Some of the 15 tracks reflect inner struggles ("Dallas," "Take Me Down Anna Lee") and relationship woes ("Chasing Lightnin' "). Others come from the songwriter's affinity for history ("Dalton the Prophet"). And then there's the one with the unforgettable chorus: "I can't let go of this pain/For the fear of having nothing left."

...Nicholas Altobelli is a solid, alt-country/folk songwriter with a penchant for mid-tempo melodies and (overly) poetic lyrics that would make fans of Leonard Cohen proud...
-Darryl Smyers (Dallas Observer)

Bleak, blustery winter days lend themselves to music of a more contemplative nature, which is where Dallas folkie Altobelli comes in. The talented youngster just released his full-length debut Bloom, a spare collection that sonically evokes the likes of Heartbreaker-era Ryan Adams and a less dour Red House Painters
