About me:

Nací el 24 de Octubre de 1983 en la ciudad de Quilmes provincia de Buenos Aires Argentina. Desde muy chico me interese por la musica y desde entonces hasta la actualidad estudie con distintos maestros entre otros Fernando Scarcella (Rata Blanca). Desarrolle el estudio del instrumento profundizando principalmente en el doble bombo y sus diferentes aplicaciones, también la ejecucion de diferentes estilos musicales, como el funk, jazz, etc. Con doce años, después de abollar todas las cacerolas de mi casa, comencé a tomar clases con Antonio Morales con quien estudie mis primeros 2 años. Como vivía en un edificio y todavía no tenia batería tocaba con almohadones y tachos de pintura siguiendo temas de Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi y Aerosmith, estas fueron mis primeras influencias. A los 6 meses llego mi primer kit, una Power Beat color celeste metalizada con un set de platos Zildjian Scimitar. Como no aguantaba las ganas la batería fue directo al departamento y quince días después de haber vuelto loco a los vecinos fue a parar a la casa de mis abuelos. Tengo que reconocer que tanto mi familia como mis maestros me han apoyado incondicionalmente, destaco a Ariel Baum y fundamentalmente a Fernando Scarcella. Son muchos los bateristas con los cuales me siento influenciado entre ellos podria destacar a Matt Sorum, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Paul, Scott Travis, Uli Kusch, Nick Menza, Mike Terrana, Tommy Lee, Brad Wilk, Eric Singer, Tommy Aldidge, Bobby Rondinell y Daniel Adair. Me defino como un baterista de rock, versatil y flexible. Amo a la musica y a este instrumento, por ende considero que hay que estudiarlo para poder saber adaptarse con mayor facilidad a la situacion musical que se presente. Pase por dos bandas antes de mi llegada a fines del 2002 a Dreammaster, formación que se encuentra posesionada entre las mejores bandas de la escena heavy local segun la critica, con dos discos de estudio y un EP. Podría decir que en esta banda pude desarrollarme muchísimo debido a la cantidad de shows que hemos hecho a lo largo de estos años tanto en Buenos Aires como en el interior del país, compartiendo escenarios con distitos artistas, entre ellos Logos, Adrian Barilari, Lorihen, etc. En el año 2004 grabo las baterías del primer disco titulado "Dreammaster" que se lanza en Marzo del 2005 de manera independiente. Un año después a través del sello Loshe Entertainment es reeditado logrando llegar al mercado mejicano con una excelente respuesta del publico. En Diciembre de ese mismo año se lanza el EP titulado "Children Of Tomorrow". El 14 de junio del 2006 realizo un seminario en el teatro Armenia de Palermo llamado "Despertando tu fuego interior", donde busco fomentar el desarrollo personal desde la música como herramienta. La idea de este proyecto fue apuntado a jóvenes en búsqueda de orientación vocacional y a bateristas principiantes. Con muy buena repercusión en el transcurso del 2007 repito este evento en dos oportunidades mas, uno junto a la consultora Ser Oportunidad y otro nuevamente en el teatro Armenia para le empresa Red de oportunidad. En octubre de 2006 grabo las baterías de lo que seria la segunda placa de la banda titulada "Waiting for the end" que se lanza en Marzo del 2008 a través del sello 2m. En este disco hay temas como Enjoy the silence y Reino del Terror (versión en castellano) corte del primer disco, que cuenta con la participación de Adrián Barilari (Rata Blanca) como invitado logrando ambos una gran repercusión en diferentes medios como Rock and Pop, revistas especializadas y televisión. En el mes de Febrero de 2009 me convoca Guillermo Sánchez (Bajista de Rata Blanca) para ser parte de su proyecto paralelo "Mala Medicina". Actualmente nos encontramos trabajando en el tercer disco de estudio. Un mes despues Martin Toledo dueño de la Nave de Oseberg y Don't Pay Music records me convoca para formar parte del proyecto solista de Adrian Barilari. En ese mismo mes se filma el video clip del corte del disco titulado "Abuso de Poder" y al mes siguiente grabo las baterias del disco teniendo el placer de trabajar con Gustavo "Bolsa" Gonzalez (Pappo, Luis Salinas, muchos mas) como drum docthor. El 29 de Junio de 2009 se lanza el disco al mercado. Soy artista de Soultone Cymbals desde Enero del 2007. I was born on the 24 of October, 1983 in the city of Quilmes (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Son of Mirta Miceli and Roberto Polo. Since very young I was attracted to drums and since then I studied with different teachers which included Fernando Scarcella (from the Argentinean band "Rata Blanca"). I developed the training of the instrument by studying more deeply the use of double bass and it’s various applications. Also I developed the execution of different’s music styles such as funk, jazz, etc... With my early twelve years and after denting all the pots of the kitchen, I started to take drum lessons with Antonio Morales; with him I started my first two years. At that moment I was living in a building and had no drum at all; I had to play with pillows, and tins following Guns and Roses, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith songs, these where my early influences. After six months of waiting I received my first kit, as I couldn’t hold myself I build the drums on my apartment and fifteen days later ( and after driving my neighbors crazy with the loud music) I had to move my drums to my grandparents house, Eva and Miguel. I have to recognize that my family and my teachers supported me unconditionally, Ariel Baum and specially Fernando Scarcella that more than a teacher, he is a mentor for me. the are lots of drummers that influenced me over the years, among which are Matt Sorum, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Paul, Scott Travis, Uli Kusch, Nick Menza, Mike Terrana, Tommy Lee, Brad Wilk, Eric Singer, Tommy Aldridge, Bobby Rondinell y Daniel Adair. I define myself as a rock drummer, but at the same time I consider myself flexible and versatile. I love music and I love drums, that’s why I consider that you have to study different styles in order to be able to adapt easily, to the musical situation that could present to you at any moment. It’s important to understand that the more resources you have the better you will use those resources in the dynamics that bring the groove to life, like all the big drummers have. I had two previews bands before joining Dreammaster at 2002, which is a band that is positioned among the best's of the local scene with two studio album's and an EP. I can say that in this band I had the possibility of developing my style a lot because of the great amount of shows that we did over the years not only in Buenos Aires but also in different’s locations of Argentina; and in some of the shows we had the possibility to share stages with different artistsof the local scene (Logos, Adrian Barilari, Lorihen, etc...) In the year 2004 I recorded the drums of the first Dream Master album, entitled "Dream master" that we released to the public in 2005 independently. One year later and with the support of the record label "Loshe Entertainment" the CD is released in mexico, with a great response from the audience. In December of that same year an EP is released by Dream master entitled "Children of Tomorrow". The 14 of June,2006 I give a conference in the Armenia Theatre of Palermo called "Despertando tu fuego interior" ("Awakening your inner fire"), where I look to encourage the personal development with the music as a tool to achieve this goal. The idea of this project was to aim young’s in search for vocational orientation and for beginner drummers. I repeated it a few more times over the year 2007 with a very good feed-back of the audience and with the help of the enterprise "SER OPORTUNIDAD" and the company "Red de oportunidad". In October 2006 I record the second Dream Master album entitled "Waiting for the end" which is released through the label 2M. Containing songs such as "Enjoy the silence" and "Reino del terror" (Spanish version of Terror Kingdom) with the collaboration of Adrian Barilari (Rata Blanca) as a guest. Achieving great response from the media as Rock and Pop, specialized magazines and TV shows. In February 2009 I am called by Guillermo Sanchez ( bass player of Rata Blanca) to be part of his parallel project "Mala Medicina" which is located as one of the best’s Argentinean Hard Rock Bands by the specialized critic. Nowadays we are working in the third studio album of the band. One month later Martin Toledo owner of the "la Nave de Oseberg studio" and "Don't Pay Music Records" summons me to be part of the solo project of Adrian Barilari. Instantly in the same month a video clip of the album single "Abuso de Poder" is filmed. The following month I recorded the drums of the album having the pleasure of working with Gustavo "Bolsa" Gonzalez (Pappo, Luis Salinas and many others) as drum doctor. This records will be released in the market very soon. I am an artist of Soultone Cymbals since January 2007.
