Nigel Cooke has been at the centre of the Teesside music scene since 1979. After a spell of playing at singarounds in north east folk clubs during the late 70's, Nigel joined up with Mark & Julie Hadlett in the Redcar based 'folk rock' outfit, English Smog.
Following a year of playing gigs, with little interest of anyone beyond Teesside, Nigel left to pursue life as a solo artiste.
Following a year or two of playing bookings at folk clubs, Nigel joined up with his old school pal, Don Atkinson and formed the Corsican Brothers. After showing a promising start, The Corsican Brothers fell apart in 1985, when Nigel was hit by an illness.
Nigel took back to the road again as a solo performer in 1987 and continued to play gigs across the north east until 2002, when the demands of his mistress (The Georgian Theatre) and his day job in the NHS, curtailed his performimg activities.
During 1992 Nigel teamed up with recording engineer, Mike Frankland to produce his critically aclaimed album 'Bang Goes The Dream.'
2008 saw Nigel returning to the stage. He played a series of gigs throughout 2008 & 2009, mainly playing a retrospective of his extensive back catalogue.

Nice to hear from you. Very impressed with the vocal performance on Never Grow Old! And a new CD in the pipeline too, sounds interesting. By the way, Tom's a top producer (if you need one) hence the soaraway success of "Transporter"!
