Originally intended to be a one off project right after Krieg's European tour in 2004, with several songs constructed, Nil remained dormant until 2006 with J. Marcheski's enterance into the fold. Months of intensive writing and rehearsing resulted in the creation of a full length of droning, primitve and intense black metal released through Battle Kommand Records in 2007. N.i.l remerged in late 2008 with one live show and promise of new material. Three new songs were recorded summer/early autumn 2009 at Studio 8 in PA.
N.i.l is not related to any other project and has it's own philisophical wanderings to pursue, sonic and otherwise.
