Nimencia was created in 2003 as a simple idea of expression through the use of music. The founders of Nimencia are Marcos Jimenez (guitar), Moises Jimenez (bass), Roger "Maget" Izaguirre (vocals). The sound of Nimencia does not fall into any one genre, instead is a combination that reflects the diversity of each of the members musical influences which include 60's & 70's psychedelic rock, grunge, metal, punk, progressive, blues, jazz, folk, among others.
In July 2007 the band relased its first full-length studio album, Trip to Motherland. Its thirteen tracks contain material in english, spanish, and both. The band believes in using its cultural diversity to connect with more music enthusiasts from different parts of the world.
Following the release of Trip to Motherland the band took its show on a brief tour through the cities of Atlanta, New York, Tampa, and Gainesville where it received very positive feedback from the audience, promoters, and bands. While in its hometown of Miami, the band can be seen perfoming in different impotant venues within the scene, interacting with audiences and fellow musicians, and experimenting in the studio while writing new material.
que tal amigos, solo aqui para decirles que desde que los vi en vivo cuando vinieron a Atlanta y compre el disco no dejo de escucharlo, esta poca madre todo el CD completito, en verdad que son bien chingones, ojala algun dia pueda volver a verlos en vivo pero ahora si ya me se todas las canciones, asi que las cantare cuando eso suceda, vengan a Atlanta otra vez cabrones... bueno, un abrazo y mis mejores vibras para todos ustedes... chido.
