Hailing from the dirty south, the Kentucky born-and-bred Nineball is a rock and roll explosion of catchy sing-along lyrics, and an explosive stage presence that's sure to have you dancing...or at least nodding your head obnoxiously. With guitar harmonies like a shotgun blast to the heart, and drum parts that weave intricate rhythms to compliment--they're music is sure to pump up any Myspace page, or close-to-you venue. Their album is good for long drives or just rocking out with your friends, but their show is must-see. Hair, guitars, and the occasional pick will fly across the stage Mics are sure to swing, as lead-singer Joe Stockton can’t help but chuck his mic as high as possible and strut around with Mick Jagger style pout and pop. Vibrantly soft to rockin' loud music, and energetic musicians mix well to create a sound that runs you over like semi-truck without the brakes! If they play anywhere close, do yourself a favor and go say howdy. Grab a few friends, climb in the car, and stop by their show to stand front-row and tap your toes to a show sure to be memory-making. Be certain to lean in close and take a listen when Joey croons, or Korey walks a bass-line--just watch your head for guitars, mics, and the occasional burst of far-flung water bottles. In January of 2008 they released their debut full-length album “Millionaires”, a chronicle influenced by the last few years of their youth, "Millionaires" is an album that's seen four boys turn to men. There’s really something for everyone on this record: It’s a straight forward rock album, with dancey moments, bursts of pop, and believe or not the occasional grind of hard-core. With a title like "Millionaires" there’s a certain level of satire to a vast part of the record's lyrical content. For example the first track off the record entitled “All About the Money” clearly showcases the bands sarcastic view of a greedy, ever-growing mechanical music industry. Other tracks such as “God save us all”, and “Among Ash-heaps and Millionaires” express the band’s sincerity in their faith and earnest search for the good in everyone.
“We’ve really learned a lot in the past few years of touring. One lesson I continue learning is that love is more important than a certain “rock-star” perception.” –Chris
“We’re really excited about what we’re doing now. The Nineball name’s been around for a long time. Actually since I could play the guitar.. But we’ve dropped everything to do this. We’ve learned a lot, and although we still have a certain level of naivety to us, we’re ready to take the scene by storm. No regrets, we’ve come too far” –Joe
