NIRGILIS was formed by two people (the university student, Moyo Satake(Key&Vo)and Kohki Ito(G) of Kinki University) in around 93. NIRGILIS accomplishes the CD debut for 02 years as a group of 5 who add Acchu Iwata(Vo), Minoru Kurihara(B), and Yuki Inadera(Dr&Cho) to the two people. Moyo Satake seceded in December, '04 and Kohki Ito seceded in September, '07　the band by the difference of directionality . The band is acting by three person organization now. NIRGILIS put 1st album "Tennis" on the market with independent music in April, '04. The album became famous between favorite music of ..mixture.. music the sense. And, the magazine of"Snoozer" and "Brafout" , etc. were taken up on a large scale. "Tennis" was elected as much as one piece in the best album during year in the bounce magazine.
"NEW STANDARD" released placing remix board "Squash" of "Tennis", and continuously was consecutive and it was elected one piece a year of the bounce in the best album.
NIRGILIS releases "sakura" used as OP theme of animated cartoon "Symphonic psalm Eureka Seven" in March, '06.
The tune is mashed up the famous music "Amazing Grace" , it becomes a topic, and the smash hit is recorded.
NIRGILIS announces album "BOY" that becomes the third totaling piece in June.
Here also records the smash hit. REMIX board "GIRL" of album "BOY" is announced in February, '07. As for Nirgilis, the overseas artist's evaluation is also high, and an artist such as HOOD, JOAN OF ARK, TWILIGHT CIRCUS DUB SOUNDSYSTEM, KOSHEEN, ANDY CHASE, LONDON ELEKTRICITY, CLOUDBERRY JAM, GO HOME PRODUCTIONS, CHRIST.GUITAR, and PREFUSE 73 a lot overseas is participating in "Squash" and "GIRL".
Moreover, PITER HOOK of NEW ORDER also participates in the coupling of single "Update".
And, Nirgilis newly became three person organization in September, '07, increased the color of the more dance, and cut the restart as an electro mixture unit that improved a sense of existence as the performer. "BRAND NEW DAY" that the band released in November is music that does the NEW RAVE scene to carry everything before one Europe and the synchronized.
Live of them improves mash and is Ra ..yborecedebted of rolling up.. eves that ..the Janlres.. put out music forward.
NIRGILIS rolls culture, and has accelerated the power.



93年頃、近畿大学の大学生、佐竹モヨ--Key&Vo)と伊藤孝氣(G)の2人によって結成され、
02年2人に加え、岩田アッチュ(Vo)、栗原稔(B)、稲寺佑紀(Dr&Cho)の5人でCDデビューを果たす。
04年12月に佐竹モヨ、０７年9月に伊藤孝氣が方向性の違いにより脱退。現在は３人編成で活動中。

04年4月にインディーズで発売した1stアルバム「テニス」から、そのミクスチャーな音楽センスが
音楽好きの間で評判となりスヌーザーやバフアウトなどでも大きく取り上げられ、バウンスでは年間のベストアルバムの中の1枚にも選出された。「テニス」のリミックス盤「スカッシュ」を挟み続いてリリースされた「NEW STANDARD」も連続してバウンスの年間ベストアルバムの中の1枚に選出されるなど、媒体や音楽好きからも高い評価を獲得してる。


06年3月にはアニメ「交響詩篇エウレカセブン」のOPテーマとして使用された「sakura」をリリース。かの有名楽曲「アメイジンググレイス」を大胆にマッシュアップし話題となり、スマッシュヒットを記録。

6月には通算3枚目となるアルバム..「BOY」..を発表。こちらもスマッシュヒットを記録。
07年2月にはアルバム「BOY」の「GIRL」REMIX盤を発表。

NIRGILISは海外アーティストの評価も高く、「スカッシュ」「GIRL」にHOOD、JOAN OF ARK、
TWILIGHT CIRCUS DUB SOUNDSYSTEM、KOSHEEN、ANDY CHASE、LONDON ELEKTRICITY、CLOUDBERRY JAM、GO HOME PRODUCTIONS、CHRIST.GUITAR、PREFUSE 73など多数のアーティストが参加している。
またシングル「アップデート」のカップリングにはNEW ORDERのPITER HOOKも参加している。
そして、07年９月から新たに3人編成となり、よりダンス色を増し、パフォーマーとしての存在感を引き上げたエレクトロミクスチャーユニットとして再スタート。
ヨーロッパを席巻するNEW RAVEシーンともクロスするシングル「BRAND NEW DAY」を11月にリリース。

ライブにもそのジャンルレスな音楽性を前面に出した、マッシュアップしまくりの破天荒なライブを行っている。
NIRGILISはカルチャーを巻き込みつつその勢いはとどまることを知らない！
