Get that spam shit off this page, man. Gotta keep this looking respectable like. You start letting that slide, next thing you know some wiseass computer science guy with nothing better to do than hope for the return of his favorite video game music podcast might just start posting gay pornography on this esteemed page.

And there's just no need for that, now is there. I can e-mail it directly to Akumu, save Kyle and the rest of the public the pain of such an event. And then we can get 3 more hours of the best video game music you can find. I'll even pay a hobo to find gay porn for Akumu if it will free him up to do the show. I can have him do straight porn for you Kyle, if you're the one sexually sidetracked.

I can even pay the hobos to provide hobo services for you guys. They can show up to work functions as your dates. It's all for the music, guys. All for the music.

What's the prognosis on the show, gents?

Hey guys, I come to you in trepidation. I must ask with a hint of fear in my voice if the show has been canceled. I'm hoping not and that February was just a brief hiatus. It's definitely been sad not having you guys around, a buddy of mine hooked me up with some Iron Maiden, but the slew of music you guys play would tear me from that in a heartbeat. If the show is on indefinite hiatus, I'm sad to hear it and look forward to the day when I open up your web page to see the triumphant return. If it's just temporary, I'm eagerly looking forward to the resumption of the show. You guys actually made it as my homepage, I thought I'd share. You fit the criteria of good page whose contents I care about mixed with having minimal graphics loading so that I can open up a window and choose a new page with relative ease. So congratulations. Men have died engaged in much less valorous pursuits. Hope you've both been well, and good luck with your assorted business.

The Armcannon CD is amazing. I'd throw it an 8, but that's a score from a plebeian with no real music background or knowledge. I just listened to it and said "Hey, this kicks ass."

Also, you should update your links on your website with regards to Wizwars. You had him pointing to www.myspace.com/wizardsandwarriors85, but that ID is invalid. Google came through for me and found him at http://www.myspace.com/wizwars though. Which is great because I love him. As soon as I find a new fucking job (or until I cave and bite the bullet in my bank account) I plan on getting the stuff he has for sale.

Since I began listening to your podcast, I think the only non-gaming music I have purchased is Wu-Tang Clan's 8 Diagrams. I'll walk through Best Buy, see something like Iced Earth, think about it, and then end up ordering something from one of the guys you've talked about. Thankfully iimusic has a large assortment of CDs free for download before I have to cave. Thankfully I'll be lucky enough soon to have a new NGI magnetically burned right to my harddrive. Eh? Eh?

Keep kicking ass, looking forward to the next show. I'm finally going to stream it.

So I was listening to NGI 101 to listen to some video game music while waiting for NGI 112 to be posted (wink, wink, nudge, nudge), and you played the rap remix of The Veldt's theme. You talked about how people were complaining, but you were going to play it. Just wanted to say, feel free to play more rap remixes. I absolutely love them, my favorite being Da Black Market from OCR.

I was all pumped up about streaming NGI tonight for the first time ever before I realized that it was going to be on the same day as Video Games Live here in St. Louis. So naturally I ditched my friends and sold my ticket for the show. Well, not really. But I did briefly consider taking a black marker to a white t-shirt to advertise NGI, before instead deciding to pimp Powerglove with their official shirt instead. You should get them as guests sometime.

And just for the record, I'm not meaning to come across as a "Why don't you update your site, whoreson?" when I badger you about posting the stuff. I understand the business of life, and I am getting 3+ hours of condensed kickass and thus have no room to complain. The main reason for the comments asking about it is just to serve as reminders, I know how easy it is to mean to do something but get caught up in how many other things need to be done unless you have some sort of reminder that it needs to be done.

And at this point I think I'm reaching a comment length limit if one exists, so I'll just say thanks for the show and I look forward to the new music from Magfest and Comiket. I ordered Armcannon's EP and I'm excited for the chance to listen to it and decide how good it is myself before seeing your official reviews.

Good luck with the show tonight!

Hey, I just got done listening to NGI 110. If you have Mae on again, can you do something for her volume? I'd turn it up very loud and lean towards my speakers so I could make out what she was hearing, and then I'd have you or Larry comparatively screaming loudly.

Other than that, it was a great show. The music especially puts it at the very top as far as stuff goes. Having more themed shows like that where you try to have a distinct theme of music would be great additions to the other game-focused specials.

Keep kicking ass!

As far as I know, Akumu is still on board.

The delay in uploading the last 2 shows are mostly due to the holiday, and having little free time to get them posted.
Nicholas

Jan 7 2008 10:17 PM

You should post your most recent show. Also, I saw on the official site that Akumu's off for a few weeks. Now, not to ask a pessimistic question or anything, but this doesn't mean he's gone for good, does it?

I ask that because I remember hearing murmurings about arguing between you guys with a few of the shows, and the show with Nario that got delayed has had all mention of it removed from the official site and has not been posted. (I exclusively download the shows after they're originally done)

If he's gone I'm still here for the great music, but it really is a major shame. The juxtaposition of you two is some of the most fun of listening as far as the hosting.

Don't listen to the lady who posted below me. I want more stories about Akumu shaving his ass and having to filter corn out of his asshole. The NSFW stuff is good for a laugh, you should keep it up as long as it's not forced. Much like anal insertion in general, it's a bad idea to force things in, when gentle finessing is an option. Also, I ordered Houseworks after some deliberation based on the review you guys posted. I got a note from house asking if I was any relation to Kyle, because we have the same last name. Small ass world. You're the second non-family member I've heard of ever who has my last name, and I've moved around every couple of years my entire life.

Rather enjoyable show this Saturday! The "line" was danced upon, but at least nobody jumped into a trenching machine and dug the line into a giant hole that we would immediately be forced into and shat upon.

I hope this can remain a trend, and bring back the original spirit of NGI, and bring along with it the added information from interviews and album reviews. :)

Would it be possible for you guys to post where you get your playlist from, as far as sources for individual songs if they're just from different websites like OCRemix, etc?

Apologies if that's a stupid question that's not remotely feasible, and I know for most of them if I google them they'll probably come up. I was listening to it and the thought came into my head.

Keep kicking ass!
Nicholas

Your show is amazing. It's a welcome staple during those long-haul homework sessions. The conversation between you two is a welcome way of learning about the video game music scene.

hey guys,

Just listened to 103, and flipping around I heard you talking about the Power Up album, but the file was glitching and skipping a bit, so I thought it was our cd. Needless to say, I was going crazy until the end when I realized what was going on!

I listened to some of tracks you guys played, and there were a bunch of remixers I didn't know. The first track especially was cool, had some great guitar and keyboard shred.

If you ever want an interview, let us know!
