Nola plays country-tinged tunes that will
lull and enliven you. They sing often of hearts breaking. Often of
transfiguration or escape. But always of the things that most need to
be sung out of us.
Between March and October 2006, Nola recorded their debut album with producer and good friend Justin Vernon (Deyarmond Edison, Bon Iver, Rosebuds), the piano, banjo, and accordion skills of Phil Cook (Megafaun), and the graciously lended voices of Staci Sawyer, Brad Cook, and Robin Vuchinich.
Nola played their last show in April of 2007. We'd like to thank everyone who supported us throughout our couple of years--all the wonderful bands and musicians, and the friends and fans we made along the way.
