IT seemed like a normal day when Henry Henrisson stepped off the bus wearing his new Nike 400 F2 Sensations (that had just come out two days ago). He passed his friend Gary Garrison’s shop (appropriately named The Kool Wanker). “Hello there Sir,” offered Henry as he pass the Kool Wanker.” “Top of the fucking morning to you Henry,” replied Gary Garrison who happened to be wearing High Tech Arizona 1985 remakes with extra sole padding (that came out four days previously).
Halfway down the High Street, Henry heard the first cries of chaos. “They’re relentless! And remorseless!” screamed a fleeing young girl who happened to be wearing Labron James 2009 Losing Semi-Finalist edition Nike SG200T-Version 0.3LLs with a bite mark in her shoe and blood spewing from her mauled toes.
More youths with expensive limited edition trainers began staggering past. They slurred bewildered ravings and bled from their feet. “What’s happening? What’s happening?” demanded Henry. It was at that point that a half sane 13 year old wearing Adidas 2009 4G2X700 degrees SLP 2’s managed to gasp, “It’s the Zombies …. they’re eating all the sneakers.

Henry Henrisson did the smart thing. He plucked off his Nike 400F2 Sensations and shoved them into the Nike 400F2 Limited Edition Artist Carrier bag. He then slipped into the pair of Clarks shoes he always carried just in case of an emergency involving the undead. Henry was shaking. “Get a hold of yourself old boy. Nobody would kill for Clarks,” he told himself. It was then he started asking questions that would not save him. Like, Why did the Zombies care so much about sneakers? Where were Lebron James, Michael Jordan and Run DMC? Hadn’t they seen this coming? Were they the first to be bitten?
In any case, Henry wasn’t going to let a bunch of sneaker starved Zombies snack on his sneakers. It had been a week since the last Zombie attack, which happened to focus on MP3 players. They’d continued for 48 hours before the broadcasting of the Zombie Idol competition, which was Free-For-View all over the Western hemisphere and had served to calm things down. Henry had watched the program, because on account of his ever expensive fresh kicks, he could not afford to pay to view the ultimate fighting blood battle that all the guys in his office were betting on.
Although he’d missed the televised blood battle, he was now watching the real thing and the only priced to be paid was the grim sight of orthopaedically maimed youth hopping up high street in a frantic heard making sounds of painful sneaker loss.
Perhaps it was a good thing, thought Henry, that the K-Swiss700000K694xxFT70.4.4ATFF would not be released for 3 more days.
