If there is one band that possesses the essential elements necessary to break big in the UK heavy metal scene, it's South-West No Quarter Given. With its blood-boiling epic sound and structured hook's Nqg is postured to set a new standard of the new wave of UK thrash metal. Formed in 2005 and since has had many line up changes No Quarter Given means no leniency or clemency shown, no mercy and this title sums up our attitude and presence on stage. They signed there first label deal with Rising Records UK in 2007 but since have now joined forces with Blue Sugar Records UK signing August 2008. They recorded the first three track demo at Panther Studio in Reigate 2005, this demo got them a lot of attention and some good media spotlight being recognized as a UK metal band with big potential, up there with some leading UK metal acts. They have kept true to the path pushing the unstoppable force that is No Quarter Given. They recorded a album titled “The Embodiment Begins” with Rising Records early 2008 and have a new Ep now released with Blue Sugar Records titled "Hold Your Serenity". The aim now is to push the band to limit, keep pushing writing skills and never give in. The band's sound is uniquely their own, yet it pays homage to those metal giants that came before them, drawing up on the roots of real thrash metal they are a true to the bone metal band. It is easy to understand why metal fans across the globe would be drawn to No Quarter Given grove vicious hook metal. Dark uplifting epic track's that lyrically focus on big picture politics, deep rooted emotions and thought provoking insight's to future comings.
A leading UK heavy metal band based in the South West, Cornwall, consists of one studio album recorded with Rising Records Uk, an extended play (EP) recorded with Chuck Creese of Burning Skies, one singles, a music video for there single, and one self titled demo. The group is composed of vocalist Ben Hawkins, guitarists Rob Kelly, guitarist Adam Thomas, bassist Scott Harman, drummer Liam Sweeney. Their first release was the independently issued 2005 self tilted demo, which was self distributed. After signing to Rising Records, they released a 10-track debut full-length, The Embodiment Begins which was in all major stores across the UK, in August 2008. In December 2008, the band released a EP "Hold Your Serenity" on Digital Download and Cd release June 2009 under there current label Blue Sugar Records.

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:
