Notchnoi Prospekt was formed in Moscow, 1985, by Alexei Borisov (guitar, vocals, lyrics) (nbresearchdigest.com, shum.info) and Ivan Sokolovsky (keyboards, electronics). At the very beginning of thier activity the duo played electro-pop with the elements of rockabilly, twist, ska, post-punk and industrial. In 1987 the drummer Sergei Pavlov and violin player Dmitry Kutergin joined the band. Since that time NP started to develop industrial electronics mixed with psychodelia, noize, free improvized music and absurdizm. In the 80-s NP became popular in Russia, playing concerts all over the country and taking part at different rock and art festivals. The most famous live performances and recordings of NP in the 80-s are "Humanitarian Life" (86), "New Physicists" (87), "Democracy and Discipline" (87/88), "Acids" (88/89), "Asbastos" (1989/91).
The first concert abroad NP played in Vienna, 1989, in "Stalingrad" club. After that NP has been on tour in Scandinavia and released "Sugar" LP at "Accelerating Blue Fish" label from Malmö (Sweden).
At the end of 1989 Sokolovsky left the band, having an idea to start his solo career.
Till 1995 Notchnoi Prospekt was active as a band, later beeing transformed into experimental modular project.
In 2000 the band was reorganized by Borisov, Sokolovsky and Kutergin. For the last 15 years Pavlov lives in Munich, but from time to time he joins the band on stage and in the studio.
The current repertoire of Notchnoi Prospekt consists of the reworked and decomposed songs of the 80-s (Acids, Radio set, I need no information, Ensembles, Unknown faces etc) as well as new compostions.

Dear friend! I'm happy to announce The new free releases from MOX!
Monstaar Records has re-released his debut album «Insects» (originally 2002). MOX gives an opportunity to explore his bizarre and captivating worlds, blending ambient, dub, IDM, Warpwise electronica with elements of hip-hop, house, classical minimalism and humour – that was reflected in «Insects» in full measure. Currently, but within a limited period of time, "Insects" is free-downloadable - http://www.monstaar.com/free/. Hurry up!
Mrs Vee has released a joint album of MOX and Pitch «Intoxicated Divinity». The tracks on the album don't belong to one style (all music is electronic and experimental, though) – there's things of dub with kraut-rock bias, Eno-ish instrumentals, glitch, downtempo, dark-ambient, house and more. The cover uses the original picture by Pitch. «Intoxicated Divinity» is free for download . You only are to register to get it - http://www.mrsveerecordings.co.uk/audvee30/register.php
