Begun in 1964, Northern Virginia Community College offers a quality and convenient educational experience at an affordable price. Interested in Sports Management as your career? NOVA needs game day help for men’s and women’s basketball and ice hockey games. Also, students can help support numerous intramural activities. AN - Sign up to attend the Transfer Information Session on Nov. 23, from 11:00 a.m. to noon in CG 224. There is a ten student limit, therefore students are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. Under the direction of its music director, Christopher Johnston, the NOVA-Annandale Symphony Orchestra will present its Fall concert, “A Season of Anniversaries,” on Friday, November 13th, at 8 p.m. in the Ernst Center Theater.
On the program will be Schubert’s Rosamunde Overture, Haydn’s “London” Symphony, Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, and Saint-Saens’ Danse Bacchanale. NOVA History Professor Terry Alford will give the welcome.
The concert will celebrate the 200th anniversary of Haydn’s death, the bicentenntial of Lincoln’s birth, and the 15th year of the Orchestra’s concerts at NOVA.
