Biography

The project: Nuhg is a musical project based on sound experimentation formed in 2009, Madrid, by Vred, The Roofman and Elías Merino. The mix of each member’s experience has created a unique composing style where analogical and digital synthesis, electroacoustic, field records and foley art, string instruments, object manipulation and electronic garbage conform the pieces that are performed by the three of them on stage. A key part of Nuhg`s work is determined by Videocreation: a narrative interaction of organic and chemical elements on a microscopic enhance and elevate its pieces to a highest level. The first record of Nuhg was released in January 2010. Entitled “Timeless Corridor” and published by Marbre Negre, it was recorded live and structured in Dark Ambient and Industrial and Noise passages. Nuhg is currently recording its second album and getting immersed in impromptu live performances. The members: Elías Merino In his compositions, Merino explores and studies field recordings (soundscapes), foley art, and electroacoustic creation, manipulates sounds through digital technologies and processes them with analogical systems. He composed the contemporary dance opus “Ave María” performed several times at the Conservatoire of Dance of Madrid and took part in the Trip-hop experimental band, Homeworks. After these two projects, he released his first solo album named “Throes”, published by Escala; a way of spectral sound inspired by Romanticism and his decadence in XIX century. Sometimes he composes music and soundtracks for short films, 3D animation works and collaborates with visual and stop-motion artists. Earlier this year , he became part of the collective +MAS, (Madrid Artistas Sonoros)and founded in collaboration with The Roofman the project “Kid Fun Area”, where the main idea is to blend the most horrifying sub realism with the concept of the absurd that is related to the human nature. The result is two albums: "Kid Fun Area" and "Circus", based on garbage sounds, circuit bending and claustrophobic atmospheres. Merino and Noise artists Grassa Dato have created the “Gur Bruo” project. In May 2011, Elías Merino published the Ep "Inner Reflection" with Tecnonucleo: a work based on a particular idea of “Tabula rasa" and Empiricism. In June, he released his next LP "Awakening of the new seed" with the label Buh records, a vision of the new laws of nature as opposed to man's weakness in a future age. Vred Antonio Quesada, aka Vred, has played music since 1997 as guitarist and composer of bands like Shaigon, K-hole, and nowadays, Declarelaguerrenucleaire. He gives the project an acoustic and instrumental air to Nuhg. He usually composes Post-Punk, New wave or Garage pieces but in Nuhg he is dedicated to achieve delicate analogic electronics. He also took part of the music distribution company Redrum. The Roofman As well -known as Alejandro Moreno, The Roofman gets into music in 2007 showing a wide referential specter. He recorded "Influence 1.0" at the end of 2009. Counting on Vred in the project “Adhar”, Moreno released three works: "Dune", "290109" and "Buried files". He is currently working on his next album "Manthos", and also on "Kid fun Area". With Elias Merino, under the name of NoHuman, takes part in "Robotic activity", a project somewhere between Acid, Glitch 8bits and Industrial.

Antonio Quesada, aka Vred, plays music since 1997 as guitarist and composer in bands as Shaigon, K-hole, and currently in Declarelaguerrenucleaire. He gives the project an acoustic and instrumental smell to Nuhg. He usually composes in Post-Punk, New Wave or Garage styles, but in Nuhg he puts different influences as delicate analogic electronics. He tooks part of the music distribution company Redrum. The Roofman, pseudo name of Alejandro Moreno, starts in 2007 with a wide spectre of influences recording "Influence 1.0" at the end of 2009. Together with Vred in the project Adhar he released three works: "Dune", "290109" and "Buried files". He is currently working in his next album "Manthos", also in "Kid fun Area" with Elias Merino and "Robotic activity", under the name of NoHuman, project between Acid, Glitch 8bits and Industrial.
