MySpace a place for friends

Nurcha Records was the result of Shrekk's wish to promote and encourage the next generation of hip-hop in Australia. With the culture quickly budding and more and more talented young artists emerging, it had become clear that the scene needed all the positive input, guidance and promotion it could get.

And as such, Nurcha created a name that spread like a virus and after 150+ shows in over 5 states over nearly 4 years, the name and brand exploded into every part of the scene. However all good things must come to an end and in January 2009, Shrekk stepped down as founder/director of Nurcha Records in order to focus on other aspects of his life and ambitions.

This marked the end of Nurcha Records as a record label and promotion company however the retail store is still going strong, supporting all aspects of the culture and guiding up and comers in the right direction to live a life of hip-hop.

However the Nurcha legacy will live on forever and no one can deny that Nurcha is and was an integral part of the Australian hip-hop culture. Many dreams were realised, goals reached and friends made during the 4 years that Nurcha was a label.
